Could you offer me some mods?

I've been wanting to play New Vegas again and the last time I played I did it without any mods. My style of play is similar to Gophers if you know him, immersion heavy where graphics are important. One of my most hated things in New Vegas is the night time, it looks as if everything has a spotlight on it, and I would love to know if there is a mod that fixes it. I'd also love to know any ideas you have for immersion mods, mods that make the game more difficult, quest mods, and anything you might think that would fit my style of play.

Off of the top of my head, the best mod for night-times, without an ENB, would probably be The Imaginator. I should say though, that that mod has been integrated into Dynavision 3 so if you like the look of the other mods bundled with Dynavision that's a far better choice as it's more up-to-date.

 

For immersion:

iHUD. (Again, though this is a mod that's also been bundled up with some other mods, you can find that version here.)

I ought also to mention NVEC. It's not an "immersion" mod, per-se, but you should probably take a look at it and decide on whether you want it for yourself or not. Most of the mods I've mentioned already are actually integrated into this mod, although I believe that a lot of them are out-dated. If nothing else it'll list far more mods than I could that you can peruse and decide upon.

 

As for making the game harder, take a look at these:

Project Nevada (While it doesn't just increase difficulty it can definitely be set up to present you with more of a challenge. If you do go for PN, you'll probably need this and this too!)

Harder Hardcore Rates

IWS-Increased Wasteland Spawns

 

For quests:

The Someguy Series (I ought to say that this doesn't give you every quest that Someguy2000 has done for New Vegas but, as far as I can tell, it does have links to each of them and this file does seem to be required for them now.)

Things you'll need for most of this anyway, and things you'll need because New Vegas is buggy as hell:

MCM

CASM (There's also a version that will allow you to configure this in the MCM, you can find it here.)

Fake Fullscreen (There's an application developed by the mod author that will do what this does but for more games. If that interested you, you can find it here.)

 

That's all that I can think of just now, but there are plenty of other mods that haven't occurred to me that will also do what you're looking for. :smile:
