MookittyBonnie
Things like the notes from vendors in Elden Ring refer to specific locations, yet on the world map, the only labels are attached to waypoints. It's hard to actually figure out where in the world it's referring to without looking it up online, which sort of defeats the purpose of only relying on in-game resources. It's hard to remember if it's a place I've been to yet or not. I'd like to see two sets of location labels. In a Sᴍᴀʟʟ Cᴀᴘs style, the 'regions' that are defined by the in-game map objects that clear away the fog of war. Then, in a more normal font style, major areas that pop-up a big caption in the center of the screen when you move into them - with some exceptions, like subareas within these major areas that receive captions. There might also be some major areas that don't get a pop-up that would be worth labeling, though I can't think of any off the top of my head. https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Locations is a good resource for regions and the areas within those regions, though I don't want to study this page too closely as I am trying to avoid reading up on stuff I haven't experienced yet. Also, it would be nice to have borders separating the regions, essentially an outline of the fog of war tied to each in-game map object.
