Tiber Septim
@gdarkYeah your right, before I went to the Corps. I served at the Navy as a Sailor. I've see someone chosen the Army but didn't give the reason why? Whoever it was, please give the reason why. Anyway, lets sing the Marines Hymn From the Halls of MontezumaTo the shores of TripoliWe fight our country's battlesIn the air, on land, and seaFirst to fight for right and freedomAnd to keep our honor cleanWe are proud to claim the titleOf United States Marine. Here's health to you and to our CorpsWhich we are proud to serveIn many a strife we've fought for lifeAnd never lost our nerve. If the Army and the NavyEver look on Heaven's scenes,They will find the streets are guardedBy United States Marines. Our flag's unfurled to every breezeFrom dawn to setting sunWe have fought in every clime and placeWhere we could take a gun.In the snow of far-off Northern landsAnd in sunny tropic scenesYou will find us always on the jobThe United States Marines. Semper Fi, guys!
Sin911
Marine Corp! My uncle is a former Marine, and I have nothing but respect for him. I would gladly follow in his footsteps!
Marxist ßastard
Top Gun was Navy.Yeah, but defection is much harder if you don't get assigned to an aircraft carrier. And if you do manage it, bringing something of value with you to the other side is pretty much impossible, so there wouldn't be any real bounty for you to collect, and a citizenship offer wouldn't be guaranteed. Sabotage is still there, but it's hard to scuttle a ship if you know that half the men on it have the hots for you. So Air Force is the only realistic option. Tiber Septim
@Wikinger9048It's different training than the Army. the Marines have more heavier training than the army, The army's training is much more to the land training. the Marines are trained to fight anywhere and anytime, which means training in Land, Air and Sea. About the Militia, You mean the National Guard? The National Guard protects the mainland.@EvilkoalYeah, it is. After a million tries to join the Corps, I successfully join the Corps, that day was one of the most happiest days of my life. That was 3 or 4 years ago.@Sin911There is no such thing as a former Marine, only Non-Active Duty Marine. Remember: Once a Marine, Always a Marine! "From the Halls of MontezumaTo the shores of TripoliWe fight our country's battlesIn the air, on land, and seaFirst to fight for right and freedomAnd to keep our honor cleanWe are proud to claim the titleOf United States Marine." Wikinger9048
About the Militia, You mean the National Guard? The National Guard protects the mainland.Noooo, i dont mean the National Guard. The National Guard is under the Gouverment Command. I mean the Militia, ther is no Gouverment Command over them. „A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.“ Thats the Militia. The National Guard is just another gouverment controll group. The Militia Member have her own Weapons, the owner for the Weapons of the National Guard is the Gouverment. The National Guard had nothing to do with the Milita. Or shoot the Militia Students, if the Gouverment it say? @Tiber SeptimDo you do here propaganda for the USMC? Or you be nuts about Warfare and this stuff?
humanbean234
Me for the Army, but only because I'm already in the Army as an NCO and I wouldn't have to serve as an Enlisted.Gotta' go with whatcha' know, y'know? As a sidebar (though this might tick-off several of the Marines on this thread), did you know you can sing the words of the Marine Corps Hymn to the tune of Wabash Cannonball? Try it:"From the Halls of MontezumaTo the shores of TripoliWe fight our country's battlesIn the air, on land, and seaFirst to fight for right and freedomAnd to keep our honor cleanWe are proud to claim the titleOf United States Marine."
