I'm no corpsmen so i can't tell you %100 that they are just medics or not but anytime i've seen one they were doing medical stuff lol. They are battlefield monks basically. keeping people alive is the basic job..as for Asia.. i never really had a say where i was deployed but at the moment i doubt they'll be sending you anywhere else sides the middle east..unless you get lucky and land on an aircraft carrier or logterm offshore naval vessel

The link is for the dolphin stuff.

Are Medics and Corpsmen the same thing? I'm a little embarrassed to say I do not know. When you are in A-school and know for a fact that you are going to graduate, you'll get to fill out a "dream sheet" that will list the places or types of places you most desire to be stationed. It can be as detailed or as vague as you like. On mine all I wrote was "I hate cold weather, I love weapons, I want to go far away from home" so they sent me to the other side of the planet to and island that has no winter and I got to work directly with a SEAL team and marines on regular basis.

Dream Sheet advise:

- don't be a smartass because most detailers have a pretty sick sense of humor.

- if they agree to send you to Asia BUT you have to be on a ship, try to pick a mid-sized ship like a Destroyer or Missile Cruiser. They are big enough and well-armed enough that they can travel pretty much anywhere the captain wants to go, and at the same time they are small enough that they can actually fit in all those exotic ports, which means they can stay longer. And they tend to return home more often, so you get to actually enjoy the country you're stationed in.

- if you can talk to your detailer, usually they will work out deals with you to get what you want in return for helping them later. If there's no opening in the part of Asia you want, he might offer to send you somewhere else (that sucks) for 2 years until there's an open billet, then send you to Asia for 4 years (instead of 3). This helps both of you because you get what you want and he actually get 2 favors from you without you realizing it (filling a suck billet and being in another billet for a period of time that will require you to re-enlist)

Hiya guys! I'm Tiber Septim. I'm here to host a poll about the military branches would people serve.

Ok, here's the story(Note this is not a true story):

WWIII has happened, the Soviet Union has caused trouble and waged war against the Allied Forces. You are an ordinary citizen living in the United States. The Call of Arms have spread throughout the states. Many citizen answered the call including you. But you are confused. What Military branch will you serve in?

List of Military Branches:

1. United States Army

2. United States Marine Corps.

3. United States Air Force

4. United States Navy

After you tick the Poll, write your favorite branch and your reasons why would you serve in that branch.

Example:

I choose the United States Marine Corps.

Because i feel proud and strong with them.

Feel free to comment and choose your favorite branch!

P.S. You can comment everywhere you want.

I'll be hosting this topic.

Regards,

Tiber Septim

After 26 years in the Air Force, My choice, for me, would still be the Air force :geek: , but it is still a very involved choice requiring much thought, and as this is an debate forum, it probably needs discussion. The Navy is good for increase of rank fairly quickly thus more pay but also more seperation as so many years sea duty for one year of land duty is normally required  . Army, as they say, join the army :fakenopic: , see the world. Also, as in the Marines, quick rank, but you get shot at a lot, and the personel are extermely varried, so your social education is greater. In the other three braches, there is generally more comradeship, with the marines probably being the closest :ninja: :. My opinion.

Currently I'm just trying to cipher what the recruiters are feeding me. What's Bull and what's the honest truth.

For the most part I really don't care but from what I heard there's East Coasters and West Coasters. East Coasters being shipped mostly to places in Europe, the Middle, East, Africa, ect. while West Coasters get Hawaii, Asia, Australia, and such.

And as long as it aint the Middle East I'll be fine and dandy.
