Do you join: One faction or all of them?

How do you play MW? Do you join all the factions you can all at once or do you pick a couple/a few and work your way up?

Personally, I joined the Fighter's Guild and House Redoran because they match and favor my major skills and attributes. These are the ones I'm serious about. I joined the Mage's guild without a whole lot of interest, just to have an extra place to rest my head and to get cheaper potions and spells.

I'm not of the mind of joining any and every faction I can find because I want to make my MW experience last. My next character will maybe be a Wood Elf and I'll join the Thieves Guild and one or two others that complement my skills. That way I'll have all different quests the next time around! I think with joining everything at once you have too much "on your plate." I want to savor my experience.

It varies but I set myself a challenge to see how quickly (in game day terms) I could do everything at difficulty level 100. So three or four times I played everything. And on PC that includes rather more quests than you can play on xbox!

Hmmm... this is an EASY question.

Every guild on the natural game. (Mages, Fighters, theives, legion, imperial cult, tribunal temple, and ???)

In addition, i join house telvannil. LONG LIVE THE 5000 YEAR OLD HERMITS!!!!!!!!

Furthermore, i MASTERED every one of these factions, without the use of cheats! BAM! BEAT THAT SUCKERS! (Sorry, im a little over-proud of this accomplishment...)

I am also in the process of using the 'joinallhouses' mod to master hlaalu and redoran (Yes, i spelled it correctly, just for future reference!)

I want to be the head of sedya neen, and turn thier meager population into a legion of blood thirsty killing machines so they can go town to town annilating everyone and putting thier heads in poles.

I never really liked the idea of joining every faction, it seemed cheap, like who cares what guild your in if your in them all. Joining a cause like freeing the slaves hidden around is one thing but to sighn up for houses that are at war with eacth other?

I would have to say personal stisfaction is the cause of joining all the guilds/houses it takes a VERY long time to get to the head! To me I feels satisfied once I am done.

Yes its a goal you can set, but not one I think should be. Imagine joining the deomcrats and republicans? Or joining the Canadian army if there even is one, and the British SAS, its just unrealistic. I know you should have the right to your own opinion but I want you to feel bad about joining all the guilds ^_^

I don't, sorry! :P

Had Bethesda wished it they could have made it impossible to join some factions if you were a member of another (like the three houses). They didn't and indeed you can join two houses without cheating or using a mod if the second is Hlaalu.

Ninja - you can't become head of the EEC only Factor in Bloodmoon. However by using the console you can become head of the Camonna Tong, the Ashlanders, the Imperial Knights, Her Hands etc. The titles are meaningless since they give you no privileges but you can do it.

I can see your point Acrid, but I think it would only be really dumb if you could join the Commona Tong And the Thiefs guild, or The Blades and the Darkbrotherhood, although I think you should be able to join these factions.

That would be a cool mod, the ability to join the Dark Brotherhood or the Commona Tong!
