Hey Folks

I've been attempting to enable console commands with my Ultimate Edition with great difficulty. Followed every direction I can find, but to no avail. running Windows 10 and even though I have wordpad++ I a, still unable to make chages to the DAOriginaLauncher.xml file. If someone adventurous and more knowledgeable than i can produce a mod allowing Ultimate Edition to have console commands that'd be great! Also for reference I own the disc copy, not steam or from anywhere else.

Have you tried using an edited desktop shortcut to enable the console, rather than the XML edit?

The image on the right is what the edited shortcut + condition looks like.... I also have the forced DirectX 9 switch in there (-dx9); console-only shortcut would be, for example, "[DRIVELETTER]:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole

You can have two desktop shortcuts for the game, one with console enabled and the other without; that's useful for uploading custom Wardens to the DA Keep.

Yes, but whether it's the 'basic' version or the Ultimate Edition doesn't matter. The shortcut edit method of enabling the console predates the UE.
