SoulPunish3r
Does the mod not appear in the game? I think you can install mods from both and it should still work. Read the requirements and make sure they are installed as well. Edited September 24, 2013 by SoulPunish3r
vlaka
Taken from the mod page:INSTALLATIONIf you have already used previous SOS versions ( < 2.03.007 ), we would advise to take the following steps:Launch the game.Load your saved game.Get the player to an interior cell (Player House's are ideal for this, since there are no respawns).Save the game in a new slot.Quit the game.Disable all SOS related Addons.Launch the game.Load the last saved game.Wait in real life, for about 5 mins.Save the game in a new slot.Quit the game.Launch the game.Load the last saved game.Save the game in a new slot.Quit the game.Check the "Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/Character Assets", "Data/Textures/Actors/Character/", "Data/Scripts/" and "Data/Scripts/Source" for any folder or file that contains in their name either the word SOS or GENITALS and delete them! This step is particularly important in the "Data/Scripts/", since they can change the mod's behaviour. From this point forward, its safe to install the new version. Future versions will probably not require this procedure unless we have a major redesign in the mod structure (probably means that will only happen on v3.x). After installing, load the last saved game. Installer for Nexus Mod Manager, with screens and checkboxes to better allow for a simple and clean installation. If manual installation is prefered, just copy all files and subfolders from each COMMON and only 1 from each OPTION to your data folder (but I strongly recommend you to use NMM instead of manual install). When Installing if prompted, replace all files NMM reports to already exist (just press Yes to all) You will need SKSE and SKYui. bben46
Mods on The Nexus don't work exactly like those on steam. If you use NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) , the mod is downloaded, but NOT activated - you must go onto the mods screen to activate it ( double click on the mod name)This allows you to deactivate mods without having to re-download them the next time you want them in your game. Note, you can use NMM along with steam workshop mods, however, the steam workshop mods will not appear on the mods page even though the do appear on the plugins page. You cannot disable the Steam workshop mods using NMM. If you chose to download manually from The Nexus -first, you download the mod to your computer - be sure you know where you downloaded it to as you will need that in the next step.Be sure you read the documentation to see if there are any special installation instructions. Not every mod installs the same way.To get the mod into the game, copy (do not move it) into the game data folder. Then you will need to activate it in the game - when you start the game - find the 'data' in the game menu, click on that. all mods will show here, the active one have an x in the box. To activate the new mod, click on the box and an x will appear. Note that none of these methods do anything at all with setting the load order - If there is a load order problem, you will need to either change it manually or use a program like BOSS to do it. LtDamn
I'm trying to install SOS 3.00.004 with NNM 0.61.14, but I keep getting "The specified path, file name, or both are too long." Is there some way to get past this?
LilMrsMoffett
How can we install SOS via Vortex? I've clicked "Install From File" and I've also dragged it to the "Drop Files" section. It appears to download, install, and activate, but there are no plugins for it in the plugins section, LOOT doesn't find it, and it doesn't appear in the MCM or anywhere in the game at all. Do I need to use 7-Zip to unzip the downloaded files or something?

Gatene
Hello all, I have the steam version of Skyrim SE. I have used MO and NMM to try out SoS. I have downloaded and installed SKSE and SKY UI. I have the most updated version of each app / mod. However, the game pops up for 1/4 of a second, and crashes. I spend hours on the internet trying to find a solution. THEN, I decide to deactive SoS.esp. The game works, but I get the below result: http://www.agamedesigner.info/ScreenShot0.png The mod works beautifully, otherwise. The screenshot below shows everything that is active, and what I had to deactivate to make the game run at all. Yes, it is using NMM, but I get the exact same result with MO. Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim SE through Steam to try out the different Mod Managers. http://www.agamedesigner.info/NMMSkyrim1.png Thanks for your help in advance, Gatene
