OldnOObBlues
Every time I reach the NCR Veteran Ranger at the main menu, my game crashes. I have tried doing the Documents/My Games/FalloutNV trick but it has not worked. At first it was my game missing meshes so I had uninstalled a lot of mods (I had over a hundred). I don't exactly know what's causing this and any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
maybenexttime
Uninstalling a lot of mods can corrupt your saved file. Also are using FOMM or NMM? If you manually uninstalled some stuff that you may have accidently deleted important files. You need to start with a clean save or a new game pretty much. gmg2dave
I am having the exact same problem, except I have just completed a total re-install of the game on a new hardrive. Completely deleted everything in the old game folder, re-installed all of the mods that I had, and still get the crash. I have no saved games at all, so this is literally a totally fresh install. I have even tried validating my files through Steam, and it is not showing any problems with any of my files. Really frustrating glitch here. ma1025
That always happens to me when I reinstall New Vegas. I normally have to install New Vegas Stutter Remover and fix up my settings in New Vegas Configuator before it starts working right. ¯\(°_o)/¯
OldnOObBlues
Hey guys, thanks for all your replies. I did what gmg2dave did and did a total reinstall of my game. Also, one of my mods were indeed corrupt. Luckily, after reinstalling the game, my mods, and the DLC's, I've got it up and running again. Case closed for now, I suppose.
