WolfSkaal
So I've been playing skyrim modded through NMM for awhile now and had SKSE installed before AE launch. Now I'm trying to add more mods and update things but my SKSEloader.exe isn't working giving me the command "Could not find SkyrimSE.exe".I've been to the SKSE website and did what i assume was the "update" but it's still giving me the same error reading. Anyone got any help or tips they could offer? I'm not terribly "computer saavvy" so surfing files to find the issue is all japanese to me.
Supersaiyangoku84
idk much about Nmm since i use Mo2 but sounds like you need to open the options and repoint skse to your new .exe in your game data folder either that or make sure you have it installed right and to the right place , a youtube video would help you more than explaining it here probably
treelot
I sometimes get the "Could not find" warning as well. I often find exiting out and reloading fixes it. Skyrim has a little issue where it sometimes loads before it fully runs programs. It is not recommended to play, and especially not to save, games with error notices. This is more likley if you have big, complex, slow processing mods and a fast, modern computer which doesn't give all the mods time to run before it dumps them.If a restart doesn't clear it, then try fiddling with your install order like Supersaiyangoku84 suggested above. Gorgopis
Sorry to be late, weighing in, if you're playing on PC. After an update we found somehow our SKSE loader had been moved automatically to our recycle bin??? We hadn't emptied our recycle bin yet, so we restored it, and it worked fine. Hope this is the issue. . . .
