Interfer0
I'm not sure exactly what your asking. The dog texture is located in texture/creatures/dog/Dog.dds
bebbe777
yeah, I found it. But how do I change it in the GECK. So a new dog race appear with new texture on them.
shaikujin
Textures for most objects are in the nif files. For dogs, it will be in the \Meshes\creatures\dog\dog.nif Open it in nifskope. On th eright panel, click on the the body to highlight it. You will see the corresponding NiTriShape or NiTriStrips highlighted. Expand it and look for something called NiTexturingProperty. Highlight that. Now, click view and ensure the following are ticked "Block List", "Block Details", "Block List Options -> List". The window called "Block List" will now show you a list of properties and the values for them. One of it is called NiSourceTexture. This is the path that you should change. Here's a graphical tutorial:http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope/Change_texture And this is my armoured dogmeat mod if you need something for reference:http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4331

shaikujin
You are welcome! I had similar issues when I started modding too :D Types of textures that you configure in the GECK are those with alternate skins, like armour, where female versions are different from the male versions. bebbe777
Im doing the Behemoth now but have a problem in Nifskope. I have loaded the Behemoth but he is all white, no texture. Ive added the Data map in Rendering window and checked the Texture box so it should work, shouldnt it? Picture
shaikujin
Have you extracted the behemoth's DDS into the path you configured nifskope to check?
bebbe777
yes. The retextured DDS lies in the path I specified. The file has the same name as the original file.
necKros
You need the original Behemoth file in the right Data folder. But don't worry, just bind your new texture like you did it with the dog and it will just work. Just be warned that the Behemoth has multiple parts that must be changed to totally replace its textures.
