dm3rd
I'm trying to make my first clothing mod for fallout nv and everything seems to gone ok apart from the odd lighting on the mesh. https://imgur.com/a/U4bDfR0 It seems to be the same on all 4 meshes I tried and I've no clue how to fix it. I've made meshes for skyrim se and not had this issue. I exported the mesh from blender as an obj and imported it into outfit studio for weighting and such. I then opened it in nifskope for some of the flags that outfit studio doesn't give you access to. not sure if it's the mesh it self or the nif files settings. Pixelhate
Try:- Select a NiTriShapes => R click => Mesh => Face Normals.- Same NiTriShapes => R click => Mesh => Smooth Normals => accept without changing options.- Repeat with other NiTriShapes.- Lastly, R click anywhere in the render window but not on the mesh => Update All Tangent Spaces. dm3rd
That fixed most of it but there is still some harsh lighting differences around the seams. That might just be the normal maps though. I've never been able to get it to be truelly seamless looking. Thanks for the help. clanky4
is the mesh mirrored? I've had a similar issue when i had a mesh that was mirrored that had an overlapping UV map. Moving the uv of the mirrored side so that it wasn't overlapping might help if that is the case.
dm3rd
Unfortunatly not, the mesh is diffrent asymmetrical and the uv map doesn't touch.
