However, read the readme, make sure that you've got everything that's required for example OBSE and perhaps a OBSE plugin. This race mod reintroduces the original version of Seducers that had the ability to assume the appearance of a mortal and that could take to the skies on their wings. In addition to this, the mod plans to introduce quests and alternate versions of quests for Oblivion and Shivering Isles (it was decided to drop the Knights of the Nine expansion). This is a teaser of the Seducer race and quest mod that is being worked on. It is nowhere complete yet, but gives an idea of what the mod will be like eventually. This version simply adds the new race and allows you to play around with some of the abilities, notably shape shifting and flying.Update Since v0.1, the following updates have been made: * MONITOR.EXE has been replaced with the Python script brzMonitor.py written by Wrye. It offers quiet an increase in terms of speed of shape shifting. OBSE plugin .dll updated to work with new functionality. * Alternate appearances are stored IN the save file, no longer as separate save files. * Different NPC disposition settings based on appearance. Guards seeing the player in Seducer form will attack! * The beginnings of a transformation animation. Installation Installation of this mod is not as straight forward as other mods, so please read this section carefully.Requirements * Oblivion patched to the latest version (1.2.0416) & Shivering Isles Expansion. * OBSE 12 (needs to be able to use plugins) * Wrye Bash 1.0 * Exnem's Eyecandy Female Body Replacer * Robert's Male Body Replacer Once all the above are installed, do the following: * Copy the contents of the Oblivion folder into the Oblivion folder under Program Files (or wherever you installed it) - NOTE that you do NOT copy the files into the Data folder. How to run the mod Like normal mods, you need to check the esp in order to have it loaded. Unlike normal mods, you need to run the BRZMONITOR.PY script in the MOPY folder of Oblivion BEFORE starting Oblivion. Then run Oblivion using the OBSE Launcher. If you do not run the monitor, then the shape shifting ability will not work! Note: if you do not see the message that the appearance has been saved during the initialisation of the mod, then it may be that brzMonitor.py is experiencing an exception and closing. To confirm this, run Oblivion in Windowed mode and run brzMonitor.py. Start a new game in Oblivion. If the monitor closes soon after the Quicksave message, then there is an exe version incompatibility problem. To correct this, reinstall Oblivion, do not install SI immediately, instead apply the 1.2 patcg (obtained from Bethesda's website), then install Shivering Isles. The save game format seems to be different between the different patches and Wrye Bash uses the previous version.How to use the racial abilities In order to play as a Seducer and use racial abilities, either start a new game and choose the Seducer race (note you do NOT need a race fix for this mod ~ it's taken care of by shape shifting into a default race) or using the ShowRaceMenu command. When the mod is completed, it'll be recommended to start a new game. Once playing as a Seducer, the appearance you chose will be saved. You will get a message saying that you are a novice, apprentice, journeyman, expert or master Seducer. These ranks will affect your racial abilities. The number of new forms that can be assumed, flight abilities and other racial abilities are affected by this rank. Only once the rank has been stated can you use shape shifting or flight (if your rank is high enough). Racial rank is based on LVL + 1/3 WILLPOWER. To Shape Shift choose the and cast the Shape Shift lesser power. Before you can assume a new shape, you need to set it first. So first "Choose new appearance", then "Primary form" (higher levels will have a Secondary and Tertiary Form as well). When the Race Menu appears, change your appearance as desired. When you click "Done" in the Race Menu, the new appearance will be stored as the appearance of the Primary Form. The player will then resume the appearance of a Seducer. You do not need to set this form's appearance again (unless you want too). To assume the appearance of the Primary Form, cast the Shape Shift lesser power again and this time choose "Assume Primary Form". This will cause the player character to assume the appearance of the Primary Form set previously. NOTE that if MONITOR.EXE is not running, the shape shift will not complete! Depending on your computer, the time taken to shape shift will vary. Shape shifting is taxing and takes a toll on the body of the player. "After Sickness" can be fatal to unwary Seducers. Luckily this does not last for very long, but does leave the Seducer in a weakended state. Each form has its own fame, infamy and disposition for characters, but not guild membership etc. To fly the character MUST be in Seducer form (also known as True Form) and must be the appropriate level. Flight is either set as none, glide or fly. In Glide mode, the player can hover, but not attain height, while in Fly mode the player can fly up/down etc. While gliding or flying, the player cannot attack or use spells. Note that there is a bug in that if you fly upwards, it is possible to fly through a ceiling etc. This is still being worked on, but there is some architecture that does not have collision boxes (e.g. the columns in the Imperial City). To start hovering/flying, double-jump (press jump twice in fast succession). To move, press forward and use the mouse to change the direction of flight. To stop flying, press jump while in flight.What is missing This is simply a Beta/testing mod to give the community a taste of what's to come. What will be added later are: * Quests obviously * New/better models. The current wings/tails and horns are very basic ~ just so that something is there to test with. In the future, more interesting, professional models will be included. There will be models for Seducer architecture, Ghost Paths, Mephala, etc. * New/better animation. The Seducers will emply seduction to obtain information from mortals and to establish anchors to keep them on the Plane of Mundus. There will be animations for this and for flying etc. * Aerial combat (both PC and NPC). Some NPCs will be able to fly and fight in the air as well. * The ability to impersonate NPCs (the code is already in the mod, but no NPCs have been chosen for impersonation yet). Reuse of Code Please do not use the mod in your own mods without asking.Want to contribute? The readme clearly states, that you need to have the following things: * Oblivion patched to the latest version (1.2.0416) & Shivering Isles Expansion.* OBSE 12 (needs to be able to use plugins)* Wrye Bash 1.0* Exnem's Eyecandy Female Body Replacer* Robert's Male Body Replacer So the questions stands: Do you have all of these things installed?
