Qwaxalot
you know what, i just tried using the driver again (after uninstalling the other) and it kinda worked: It let me play for longer than usual- about 20 minutes + instead of crashing to black screen the game just froze... after about 5 minutes i restarted. Is this maybe a good sign ? Edit:by the way, i'm curios- is this driver magical or what ? why is it so sure that it will work (and it kinda works in compression to the others) The driver that I recommended you to was the most current driver for 7000 series cards, that didn't have trouble with Oblivion. Subsequent nvidia drivers were causing consistent problems (this from another forum that I frequent). It's actually looking more and more certain that you either have a failing video card (although that's not supported by your temperature readings), or as BossDweebe pointed out you may need to reinstall windows. Don't go away, I'm going to put together a couple of other things you can try.
Qwaxalot
I'm back. First: Verify that you've got Oblivion patched to the current version (1.2.0416), It'll be in the lower left hand corner of your main menu. Second: Verify the Video driver version (look it up with device manager) Third: Just for drill, try a Clean Boot. This is to rule out complications from background processes. Fourth: On the off chance that you're experiencing a sound card issue, in the Oblivion.ini file locate: bMusicEnabled=1bSoundEnabled=1 and set them both to 0 And, if you feel up to it, I'd recommend deactivating ALL mods and starting a new game with Vanilla Oblivion Bben46 (our local moderator and Guru has a guide: Here Good luck to you. EDIT: Take some notes, and if any of this works, or even helps, post back. EDIT2: It's also remotely possible this could be memory problem. There are a number of programs that can be used to stress test memory, however I don't have a link to any of them (I think everyone usually recommends "memtest86")

Qwaxalot
the version of the game is 1.2.0416 driver version: 6.14.11.7824driver date: 10/7/2008 ill edit this post about the other two. by the way. most of the time i run oblivion with obse.exe is that ok ? Those are the correct numbers, good. The reason I recommended trying a new game with vanilla Oblivion, was to completely rule out a mod conflict. Just like the "clean boot", and turning off sound eliminates two other variables. And don't edit your other post, add a new post, that way we can tell that you've been back. stamsammy
so should i try to re install oblivion for future tries ?right now i use like 6 modes againt crashes and 1 of an alt start:http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/7766/aaaavpg.jpg i tried the clean boot and again it worked more then the usual- 20 minutes and when it crashed i had a black screen. an error sound was heard and after some time i pressed ESC and it just quit the game and i didn't need to restart. ill add a new post when i'll try the other things.probably in about 12 hours....good night and thanks. Qwaxalot
Bben's Uninstall/Reinstall guide does give you a way to have a vanilla version of Oblivion available. Again the reason I suggested that you eliminate mods, was to insure that there are no mod conflicts, Alyhough I really can't see any of those listed in your last post as being a problem. Try turning off the sound, as I suggested, and see what happens. As I also suggested, try a memory tester too. If none of these things really help, then, unless someone else has a good idea, it looks like reinstalling windows (a true pain) is about the only thing left to try.
