Riddleofsteel Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I have tweaked fallout for mostly the best looks but I have still followed the tweakguides guide for best optimization. I am using quite a few high res texture packs. The game runs pretty smooth with the occasional stutter when I am loading a new area. Well today I found my achilles heel. I got in a fight in the Rivet City marketplace, and when I was shooting people and blood appeared and/or they died, the game would freeze for a second or nearly a second and then resume. This made me quit and take a look at the decals settings in the ini file. I lowered it to 20 max decals. Reloaded the game, still hiccups pretty bad when someone bleeds or dies. Can anyone help me or share what they did to reduce combat lag? I am also using increased spawns but that wouldn't be affecting me in Rivet City would it? Thank you very much.
l0n3llyw0lf Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Find "Viagra" to boost off u computer. Maybe some of Mods (if u used it) use high or ultra high ressolution witch make u comp sometimes need time to recognize it.
