Compiling Companions

I am cooling my heels waiting for Heather Casdin 2.0 to come out in order to start a new game. Been thinking that I want Heather, Darlene, R4-04, and Ivy to be my main traveling companions. I've been given various solutions but they all seem to have downsides. If only the Skyrim Nether's Follower Framework was also present in Fallout 4.

Liga seems to be the most recommended companion manager, but some say between the scripts for it and the heavy scripting for Ivy, that lags may occur. I think that adds up during the course of a long game. To make matters worse, is the matter of which companion dialogue takes precedence. These four have the most dialogue in the entire game. To make matters worse, it is my understanding that Ivy is designed to be the prima donna of companions and that companion managers can exacerbated who gets heard.

My idea is to chain R4-04 and Darlene to a manager, since Heather has her own system and Ivy seems very complex. Any feedback?
