SSE Alternate Start before the wagon ride

1) You start the game as a rich merchant riding in from Cyrodil. As you are entering through the gate at the border, some bandits attack, killing all the border guards and kidnapping you for a hoped-for ransom.

2) The bandits are taking you to their hideout at Mistwatch (near Darkwater Crossing), but before getting there, they encounter a group of Stormcloaks including Ulfric himself. The Stormcloaks, seeing your predicament, attack the bandits to rescue you.

3) During the assault, a fellow captive, Lokir from Rorikstead, sees an opportunity to grab a Stormcloak horse and beat it out of there. Too bad, he picked Ulfric's horse. The Stormcloaks caught him and made them their own prisoner.

4) As you are rescued, Imperial soldiers arrive and attack the Stormcloaks. In this assault, you get knocked out.

5) Next thing you know, you wake up in a wagon with Ralof, Lokir, and Ulfric heading to Helgen.

 

We just need to figure out how to get you and Lokir in rags for the wagon ride. Maybe that happens when you are knocked out. Maybe that happens when you and Lokir are kidnapped by bandits.

there is a mod called alternative perpective that works kinda like that but you aren't in the cart and helgen isn't destroyed yet
