I keep getting a crash to desktop when I try to leave Alvor and Sigrid's house

I'm coming back to Skyrim after a long hiatus and decided to switch over to SSE. I used Vortex to load up some of the mods I used back when I was playing the regular version and a few others I wanted to try. The tutorial went fine and I followed Hadvar to Riverwood and got some supplies from Alvor, but when I try to leave his house I get a loading screen and then it crashes to desktop. Is there a way to tell if a mod conflict is causing this? Is an error report generated somewhere that someone smarter than I am can look at to find the problem? I really want to get back into the game but I need this resolved first. Let me know if you need any info from me or if there's a better place to take this issue to.

Do you mean you installed mods that were the Nexus/wherever-it-came-from Skryim Special Edition versions of the ones you used to use in the original Skyrim (LE)? If not, did you make sure the mods in question were suitable for use with SE? It's pretty rare for an LE mod to work properly in SE without conversion, even if it doesn't cause the game to "not open" in the first place.

If you have NetScriptFramework installed, it provides a reasonably useful crash log. Or it can be in some circumstance (ime). Maybe more useful for some than others, I'm not expert so I can only get so much out of it personally, but it's helped me to solve problems a few times.

I thought I was careful to use the Special Edition versions of each mod, but I suppose it's possible something might've slipped through the cracks. I'll check out NetScriptFramework, but if all else fails I suppose I could just do a fresh install, start a new game, and add mods one by one to see where the problem emerges.
