Damn. That makes it hard to find out what happened.

You could try completely removing FOMM and reinstalling it again. Your mods will still be there. If you backup the FalloutNV folder in C:/Games your packages will also still be there I think. The uninstaller should have an option to leave it behind if I remember correctly.

Like I said, removing FOMM will not mess with your mods. First of all, your mods are stored in the New Vegas data folder, completely separate from FOMM. Secondly, FOMM stores all data about your mods in C:\Games\FalloutNV, which is also separate from the installation folder, so you can safely uninstall the program completely and reinstall it again. I just tried it - the uninstaller does not touch any files in the mentioned folder. Everything is as it was before. So there's nothing to worry about

That sounds odd. But you got it working, so what does it matter. :)

I don't know much about NMM - I've only used it for Skyrim, and I haven't played that for close to a year. In any case, I don't think it's wise to use two mod managers for the same game simultaneously. I think it's best to make a choice and stick with it, and since you already have everyting set up with FOMM you should probably stick with that for now.

well you may be right :)

but this "incident" gave me some "Fear" to lose my game because of a crash.. is there a easy way to backup the current settings to that will not happen ?

If worked hard on my mod's and load order and even ingame Mod settings to archive a really hard falloutgame that feels like late 80s games and it would really hurt if i loos the modsettings again without recoverying...

thanks anyway kinda saved my sunnday night *g*

Navigate to the following folders and delete them.

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\FOMM
and

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Black_Tree_Gaming
These folders store program settings for FOMM and NXMM, so the next time you run them you will have to set them up again.

DO NOT set them both to use the same folders for mods or install info.
