I need help with Bone Nodes, I'm a nobe

I'm trying to make a clothing mesh, but when I try to export it I get an error message about needing bone nodes. I just got 3ds max and I have no clue how to add bone nodes. Is there any kind of tutorial about how to add them to the body? If any one understands how to create armor meshes, please help me with bone nodes.

both are for blender im afraid, but they will let you know at least what you need to do, and then im sure a bit of searching around 3ds forums will provide you with the ways to do the same things in 3ds max. (ie parenting vertex groups to bones)

I've learned that 3ds Max won't seem to export the nodes properly. This results in all nodes starting at 0,0,0 in nifscope. Any modification to the XYZ in nifscope, results in the entire model becoming warped to all hell.

hmmm im afraid as far as shader stuff goes, im pretty much in the dark. did you have any odd material shaders on the clothing while you were making it in 3ds? perhaps it exported something that nifs cant handle.
