Texture issues with Fook, have read and tried everything I could find.

I'm having the chameleon issue or the red box with a "!" in it with around 90% of the weapons and armor from fook. From what I can tell none of the textures or meshes are corrupted, and what it looks like to me is that they're not being loaded somehow. I'm using FOMM and the archive invalidation invalidated!, and so far I've reinstalled fook about three times, all three of the files and have made sure the textures/meshes etc are in the right place.

Being as horrible with computers as I am, could it be something like I simply need to make sure ALL of the image files are directly in the textures/armor type folders rather than some of their own separate folders? Or could it be that the files are direct draw files instead of /nif's? (Can that even be an issues?)

Oh, and if you want to skip all of that text up there, here's what I've tried and what I have on:

FOMM

FOSE

AII!

Tried running AII as admin and FOMM as admin, no luck

Tried Reinstalling FOOK multiple times

Made sure all texture/mesh folders were in the right place

Checked my Fallout.ini

Had no problems with the previous version of Fook

I've had a hard time learning about the load orders though, but just running fallout with fook I have texture issues anyways, any advice would be awesome. Thanks for your time!

Did you make sure you got all the main files (1, 2, and 3) along with the esp?

Did you set up your load order like the description tells you to? It should look like this:

--------------------------

5a) Use FOMM to select the following files to load (you MUST select all three):

# CALIBR.esm

# FOOK.esm

...

... (other mods)

...

# FOOK.esp

5b) Additiontaly you can use other FOOK addons after the .esp, for example:

# CALIBR.esm

# FOOK.esm

...

... (other mods)

...

# FOOK.esp

# FOOK - Tougher Enemies.esp

# FOOK - Reduced Armor Boni.esp

Tried that just now, but no luck, textures are still buggy. I copy/pasted some stuff from the fallout.ini to see if it might help anyone to help me. Also Ill toss my load order in another post in a second. And to answer your other question, yea I've made sure to download the complete set of FOOK files.

Hmm, are you sure you actually put the textures from the files into the Data folder? I remember the first time I started using FOOK I forgot to copy one of the textures to my Data folder after extracting.

Also, I think you have to change bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 in your FalloutPrefs.ini as well.

Thanks a lot for your help, as it helped with a large number of the issues. In the end the main thing was I forgot to download the 1_5 patch...sigh. It was an oversight on my part, was making sure I had everything over and over but that was the one thing I forgot.
