Obsession, Questions and Fiction.

I came pretty late to the Fallout 3 party, but it has really got its claws in me now. 20+ hours in and I'm only just begining - it's quickly becoming a crippling addiction.

As I level up, I'm struggling to pick my perks. I agonise over which to take. The sheer amount of options paralyses me! Despite studying the Fallout Wiki, I'm yet to find a categoric guide for which perks to take and when. I guess there isn't a right and wrong way, but guidance would be good.

I'm a small guns, lockpicking, medicine expert... but those are now pretty much maxed out and I'm diversifying.

Also, my obsession has led me to write 'Notes from the Wasteland,' short short tales of my adventures. With the scope of Fallout 3, I reckon I'll be able to fill a library with them by the end.

Thanks for the welcome!

Yeah, I'm actually playing a bad guy now - not something I usually do. I started on the road to evil accidentally, but I'm slowly embracing it. I've justified it to myself by saying that everything I steal and everyone I kill helps me towards my bigger goal. The evilest people never think they are evil.

That's what 'Notes from the wasteland' is all about. It's like short short story versions of the 'male without a father of the Republic' features they did over at Eurogamer. Did you read those? They were awesome.

Anyway, thanks again for the welcome. I can see me loitering around here for a while to come

Good work man. It was a good read, though a bit short. No negative points for you on that one, as you said it was such, simply wanted to read more.

I've been kicking around the idea of doing this myself. I used to play a little Web-based game called Dark Future and wrote several short stories about my characters in that game.

Perhaps a collaboration at some point?

If you're interested in checking out my writing style, I can E-mail you the texts from those shorts.

Again, well written, a good read.

Sorry man, didn't get a notice mail that there had been a reply. Glad you liked the story!

I don't know about collaborating (I wouldn't know where to begin!) - but I'd definitely like to read your stuff.

Ummm, my email address is here. Look forward to reading it.

No problem, I sent over an E-mail with a couple of my short stories. I've got a few more on the HDD, and some more floating around on disc.

Hope you like them, and a collaboration isn't a huge deal, just a thought man.

Keep up with the stories, I'm looking forward to reading more.
