NLGUITARGUY94 Posted May 6, 2022 Share Posted May 6, 2022 (edited) Hello everyone, I am experiencing a very strange issue with Skyrim recently. For context, I am in a current playthrough on the 4th of Heartfire at 2:34pm in-game, in Winterhold, looking for the main quest Elder Scroll. For some reason at this exact time, every time I load my game up, my character's body texture blips out for no apparent reason. I have attempted to go back to an earlier save, and work back up to this point, in different locations, same issue... It will be present when the save first loads, but once I reach that time stamp in-game, the texture blips out and will not return. I use CBBE 3BA with Bijin skin, and a few racemenu overlays. I have attempted to reinstall them fresh, and also removing the mods altogether. However, the problem still occurs on the vanilla body and textures, as well as when the mods are installed/active. I do have many other mods in my load order, but to my knowledge, those are the only mods that would have an effect on my player character... I would also like to clarify, that it is only the body that turns blueish/purple (as it does when a texture file is absent). Any clothing equipped, as well as the head/hands/feet are still visible. I have no idea what to do, and need help! If anyone has answers, I would love to hear from you! Thanks! SlickSilk Posted May 6, 2022 Share Posted May 6, 2022 Check if you're not running out of VRAM, it's possible that the game can't load in more textures and chooses to skip the skin textures first. I've seen this happen before. You can try downloading lower res skin textures to see if it will work. Also, and this might be a long shot and I'm not sure if this will help, but I had a similar thing happening when I was using a Racemenu preset that had missing mod requirements for some specific body overlays. It would work normally for some time, but after re-loading the game or moving to a new cell, the body textures would glitch out. If you're using a downloaded Racemenu preset, then do a test run by opening Racemenu and switching your race and using a basic character preset with no overlays, and check if it still glitches out your textures. If it doesn't glitch, then it's possible that you're missing some requirements for the Racemenu preset you're using. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I ended up going into racemenu and removing them from the body, and all the textures came back again lol. I had completely forgot that the one existed in my load order.
