Ukraineboy Posted November 12, 2004 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Ok so, I was searching around for the Ianus Eggmine at Suran( i now know where it is) and I stumbled upon an orc fellah. He wanted to fight me, so I challenged him to a fight. I quickly ran up to the top of the hill and he tried to catch me, but he got caught on a rock, so he just kept on running against a rock. I took lots and lots of shots, but it barely did any damage. like half an inch each arrow off his healthbar. well suddenly, he gets off the rock and charges after me. I panick because I bet he could kill me in one hit (im a level 3 wood elf archer with light armour) so I run as fast as I can, down the hill to Suran. Now I wasnt sure if Guards actually help you if someone is attacking (do they?) so I quickly ran to the Silt Strider, the last time I saw him he was at the bottom of the hill. So now I have a House Hlaalu job to be done. The one where i go kill the kwama queen in the ianus eggmine. So I have a few questions 1.) Will he be waiting for me in town? or is he back at the top of the hill?2.) if I see him, will he attack on sight?3.) Now he followed me all the way to Suran. Once I entered the Silt Strider, is it possible that he would run ALL the way to Balmora to catch me? lol I dont want to be walking into town and all of a sudden this orc guy comes up and slices me in half3.) Will Guardsd actually help me if someone is attacking me? or do they just stand there? if they just stand there, is there a modification that will actually make them help me? VG_King Posted November 12, 2004 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Assuming by the information you have given, I am positive that the 'orc fella' that is chasing you is Umbra. Yes he challenges you to fight and if you kill him you get his sword (which is very powerful... not the best but still pretty good.) Unfortunately guards do not help you with this fight. They only help fight beasts and wild creatures. And you should try taking him on when you are at least level 20. (15 if you have good stats and lots of health potions.) Umbra will attack you on sight when he sees you again and he will not run all the way to Balmora to kill you lol. I am not sure if he appears back on the hill again if you were to leave town and come back... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Malchik Posted November 15, 2004 Share Posted November 15, 2004 Speak to the owner of the mine before you kill the queen. If a character is within a cell but out of position you can use the console command RA to put them back where they should be. However by the sound of it Umbra has moved out of his cell and it won't work. Always carry some intervention scolls, you can pick 'em up free if you join the mages guild or buy them. That gets you away and you can't be followed. If Suran is a problem you can travel to Molag Mar and approach the mine from the east. It's a long way round but there is no way you will beat Umbra at level 3 unless you have a constant effect levitate and fire arrows repeatedly. And it will take a lot of arrows!
