Pipmon
Don't ask me how or why but if i change the name from outfitm to texture it appears in nifskope but its very dark and can only be seen from the right angle so im guessing that the lighting texture isn't working and in the geck it still asks for the texture_n. neunen
do you have a custom texture named "texture.dds"? because if not, then changing the name of the texture file in nifskope to a file that doesnt exist will show no texture. just the object material color, which is probably black, and that may be what youre seeing. when you set the texture path, you should set the normal path too, it will be in the same folder with the _n at the end
Pipmon
OK. I have copyed the branch in nifskope and pasted it the edited part onto an existing armor and have set the texture paths so they all appear in nifskope but when i save to and use it in the geck the error appears and the textured part appear clear. neunen
what branch did you copy? was it from your edited armor onto the original armor?click on the nitristripsdata of the new armor piece and look in the inspector window. double check that the entry called tspace flags is set to 16. can you put up a screenshot of whats in nifskope and the geck? edit: also on this new piece of armor did you add or remove any verts?edit 2: while im not familliar with 3ds i remember hearing that your mesh needsto have a pure white alpha, or it might disappear.http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index..._Custom_Weapons
Pipmon
Here are the screen shots. I can make the textures appear using the texture sets and the only thing that appears is the neckscarf i was adding.
neunen
so the neck scarf is a seperate object. as i asked before was it copied from your nif onto the original armors nif, or did you export that entire armor from 3ds? when you made the neck scarf in 3ds did you rig it to the skeleton? have you unpacked your texture archives? im sort of grasping at straws at this point. Pipmon
I imported it from another nif that didn't work by copying the branch in nifskope. About the rigging to the skeleton, i imported the one from the bsa file from fallout with the combat armor and i copied the skin file from the armor and changed the body parts it was linked to.
