Yogogamer
Hello all, I have a request to make but first i want to thank ladez for doing my last one, Just wanted to know if someone could make a mod for the grenade launcher that does the following 1.Changes Firing sound to Hunting Shotgun Sound2.Changes ammo to 12 Gauge rounds3.Changes name to "Shotgun"4. Remove the giant sight on it5. Make it compatible with milena's retexture6. Make it replace all grenade launchers (Basically every grenade launcher is like what is listed above)Thanks! Ladez
Quick question, are you using NVSE? Just asking because I'm doing this, and I'm removing it from some lists and adding it to others, so that the game considers it an actual shotgun and it affected by Shotgun Surgeon. NVSE, allows me to remove it from some lists without changing the actual lists, which will make sure it's compatible with other mods that change those lists. Just a heads up, I can't remove the sight. That requires editing the actual model. I had a look at it, and the sight kind of sticks to the barrel, so it is beyond my capabilities. Besides, the model belongs to Millenia, so I think I would need his permission to upload it. Edited October 4, 2013 by Ladez

Another question, how do you make a reteture that replaces all of the weapons? (like milenea does) Sorry for bugging you andThanks again for all your help! Ladez
I've attached a file now. Here are the changesIt is named Shotgun, uses 12ga ammo and uses Hunting shotgun sounds.I also had to tweak the damage, since with the grenade launcher it is the explosion causing the damage, not the weapon. It now does 80 damage, a bit more than the Hunting shotgun. Also added a critical damage of 10 (the same as Hunting shotgun).Changed it to use Guns skill instead of Explosives. Now ejects shotgun casingsIt is affected by the 'Shotgun Surgeon' perk (also 'And Stay Back' perk if Dead Money is detected)The attack animation speed is the same as that of the Hunting shotgun. It is set to explode limbs (neither exploded or dismembered before, the explosion did everything).Everything else is unchanged. If you don't like some of the changes I can change it back. Sure, you could make a black laser rifle. The stock would look weird in wood if the stock on the model was't changed to something else though. And as said modeling is not something I can do. In general, every retexture applies to every instance of that thing in the game, unless it is a completely new texture in it's own folder. You just edit the texture file and put it in the right place in the data folder, and it will overrule the default textures in the BSA archives. You have to take other steps if you want a texture to only apply to a single weapon. You'd have to create an entirely new weapon, and either set it to use the texture from the GECK, or make a copy of the model, apply the texture to that model outside the GECK (with a program like NifSkope), and set the weapon to use the new model. Millenia's retexture project is really just a bunch of replacement files for the textures in the BSA archives, and in some cases replacement models, where he needed to change how the texture is applied to the model (something called UV maps). The Grenade Launcher is still Called that and still uses 40mm grenades, And i think the laser rifle would look good with some wooden parts on its vanilla body Edited October 4, 2013 by Yogogamer

Ladez
:ermm: So you have extracted the file 'GrenadLauncherIsShotgun.esp' from the downloaded archive and placed it in the 'Fallout New Vegas/Data' folder right? If so, it really should appear in your mod manager.
