DallyLolli Posted October 5, 2013 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Would it be possible to add a spell that would capture a bug as a pet, or summon an insect familiar? I was thinking earlier about having a torchbug / luna moth / dragonfly just following the player around, kind of like Sparx from Spyro. It could have practical uses like illuminating the area without a torch or wearable lantern, or just serve as a little bug buddy for people who like having pets. I'm not experienced enough with modding to do it myself, though I could always try and get my feet wet if no one was interested, I suppose. I don't mind a lot of the details, but I came up with a few ideas (like capturing a bug with the spell, then casting the spell again to release it or on a different insect to change pets). An easier way might be to make it work like a familiar, perhaps just having the ability to toggle on and off instead of giving a duration. You also shouldn't be able to accidentally harvest it, or purposefully harvest / abuse it for ingredients. I honestly wouldn't have considered this worth making a request for had I not stumbled across the 101bugs mod. It seems to have a pretty large fanbase, so obviously there are other bug-lovers around the nexus. :) I would really appreciate something like this.
