shadowwfoxe
Is there any work-around or solution to be able to load more than the default 255 mod limit in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion? Just wondering...
ihateregisteringeverywhere
Yes, bash some esps together with Wrye Bash. It's truly the work of a genius.

bben46
Wrye Bash site. http://wrye.ufrealms.net/Wrye%20Bash.html The 255 mod limit is hard coded into the game and cannot be changed by a mod. Wrye Bash does a lot more than just allow you to combine mods. Read the installation instructions before starting. You will have to install Python and Wrye Bash. You don't need to know anything about Python, it is used behind the scenes by Wrye Bash and must be there for Wrye Bash to work. To download, follow the Tesnexus download link on the Wrye Bash Site. arnoldvsthegooch
Try a little utility called TES Gecko you can merge mulitple esps together. I suggest merging weapon and armor mods. I have over 100 weapon and armor mods merged together into 1 file. Hope this helps.
