Problems with FNIS (error 2001): \AppData\Local\Skyrim\plugins.txt does not exist

Good evening everybody!

 

I just wanted to play Skyrim again and I am having some problems with FNIS.

I am using MO2.

 

When trying to run the "Update FNIS behavior" in the FNIS tool I get the output in the FNIS tool:

ERROR(2001): C:\Users\my user name\AppData\Local\Skyrim\plugins.txt does not exist - RE-INSTALL FNIS

I tried to re-install FNIS but that did not change anything.

 

I also looked up this " FNIS ERROR 2001" online but I couldn't find anything useful.

 

 

It seems like FNIS is trying to read the file that stores all the active plugins, that file is usually located in "C:\Users\my user name\AppData\Local\Skyrim\plugins.txt", but when using MO2 things are different.

 

Everything worked fine the last time I used FNIS with MO2, but that was like two years ago ...

 

Any help would be appreciated ...

Nevermind, I figuerd it out:

 

First I reinstalled Skyrim and FNIS, then I got another error (error 76).

Whitelisting the skyrim folder and the MO2 folders in Windows Defender fixed it.
