Edit: Or would a change of the username require to close this account and make a new account with the new username? But you would no longer be recognized (by the Nexus) as the author/uploader. There are ways to re-assign ownership, but they are cumbersome, and extremely "manual". That's one of the reasons we seldom do name changes. Contact one of the Admins (the people with the red Admin tag under their avatars) by PM and discuss your situation.
