Vagrant0
http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=107045 Read. Understand. Come back in 8-40 months. Asking for meshes before explaining the work to be done, why those meshes are needed, and before there is any significant part of the mod even started is one of those "avoid like the plague" signs for any mod project. Almost EVERY mod project which starts out requesting new meshes, textures, animations ends up going nowhere, even when those things are provided. This is because the persons working on that project usually lose interest, or realize that their project isn't practical (due to time or game limitations). In the meantime, any work which might have been done has essentially been wasted. No mod EVER needs meshes before it can begin. Mods can ALWAYS use vanilla meshes as a placeholder for anywhere that might need custom work. There are also many modders resources which can often be used to fill whatever role you need those custom meshes for. Animations are NEVER needed until the very late stages of a project when they can actually BE USED. Meshes require many, many hours to make. Animations even more. Unless your project is promising enough, and interesting enough, those who can do these things will likely never be willing to offer their time. Scripting is in a similar light. Unless there is already a fairly large world already there, any scripter will likely spend a few months waiting for that work to be done before they can do anything. Because of this, EVERY project leader should likely have some scripting ability, even if they suck at it, to take care of what minor scripts might be needed for moving the player to those areas that are part of the project. Quests can NEVER be made before an area is almost complete. This is because everything about the quest requires locations and placed references to work. Although the person making the quest may be called to do some work with the interiors and worldspaces to set the scene, it would be a waste of their time to create all those things when they could have been made previously by someone else. Your other thread went nowhere for the same reason that this one will. You have not clearly explained your project. You have not explained what work is already done in that project. You have not explained what work you are doing. You have not explained, specifically, what those people will be working on as it pertains to your project. I am not trying to be mean, but you clearly have not put much effort into this idea, have not looked around for any advice in getting started, and have not been willing to show the personal commitment to making your project look worthwhile. Show people that you are involved and capable, and they'll be more receptive. Show people that they are not worth even one pass through a spell check (don't care what your native language is, you clearly know the words, but just don't seem to care), and they won't give you any consideration.
