RAZOR'S EDGE

I am creating razor's edge for a reason, you see the guild experiences in Skyrim, for me at least, were not the most memorable moments of the game. I personally want a guild where you feel like you are a legitimate member of their family. I want the player to feel at home with their guild, and I want the player to enjoy embarking on missions not only because they were fun, but also because they want to see the guild prosper and succeed. I wanted the player to feel in touch with the npc members and cry when they cry, laugh when they laugh, and fight when they fight. I want the player to feel like the guild missions are actually fun and that they have choices and consequences. I want to create the perfect guild.

Because of this I have decided to create a guild that will act as an alternative to any of the guilds offered in vanilla Skyrim. That means that this guild will offer equal opportunities for people who specialize in combat, stealth, magic, and even people who dabble. The guild itself is called Razor's Edge, and it caters toward professional assassins, expert thieves, and powerful wizards. However, their goals are to become the best assassins, saboteurs, and spies that Tamriel has to offer. Unlike the Brotherhood, Razor's Edge does not pride itself on being a cult-like group of people fanatical about claiming lives. Instead the members of Razor's Edge are what you might call "Honorable Assassins". Instead of glamorizing killing, this group respect their targets and do not revel in the kill. For members in this guild, honor and integrity are of more importance than pure maniacal killing.

What makes this guild special is the fact that the player will become part of it's history, unlike the already formed guild that the vanilla game arrives with, Razor's Edge will be a guild that the player will actually help form. Because the player is the second member to be recruited the constant progression gives the player satisfaction that he/she is on the top. In the vanilla game the player progressed to quickly within the guild, and within a couple of in-game days the player is already promoted to the guild leader. In my opinion, especially in the Mages Guild, I feel as though the player is not qualified for that position, especially since most player typically leave the guild once they finish its quest line. However, with Razor's Edge the player starts off as the co-leader/founder, and as such the player feels as though they deserve that position because they stuck with the guild when it was only two members, to when it becomes one of Skyrim's most prominent guilds.
