JamesTJ
Greetings - First I would like to thank you for all your incredible work - you guys are the best. This website is excellent in content and blessed with good moderators. I wish Tesnexus had a separate 'top 100 mods' section for Morrowind - There are several games in the Elder Scrolls series - but there will be more. People who want to look for the 'best' mods to add to their game of Morrowind / Oblivion / ES V (coming 2010?) could easily click on the "top 100 Morrowind Mods"or"top 100 Oblivion Mods"or"top Elder Scrolls V Mods" It's a good bit of work - especially since many of those Morrowind mods don't have so many votes, but I think it would be worth it. myrmaad
Greetings - First I would like to thank you for all your incredible work - you guys are the best. This website is excellent in content and blessed with good moderators. I wish Tesnexus would have a seperate 'top 100 mods' section for Morrowind - after all, if there will be many more games in the Edler Scrolls series, it would be more useful to have a top 100 mods list for each. People who want to look for the 'best' mods to add to their game of Morrowind / Oblivion / ES V (coming 2010?) could easily click on the "top Elder Scrolls V Mods"or"top 100 Oblivion Mods"or"top 100 Morrowind Mods" It's a good bit of work - especially since many of those Morrowind mods don't have so many votes, but I think it would be worth it. It's a good idea, in the meantime, since I just received my new copy of the Game of the Year Edition of Morrowind with Tribunal and Bloodmoon in the mail--(My husband's face was priceless! considering Oblivion has sucked away at least 2000 hours of time I could have been doing something for him, so far). --to at least write an article about general consensus of must-have Morrowind mods. It's a subject many have opinions on, and it's already been done for Oblivion by many authors. If one Morrowind article went up others could add their articles to it, in comments/replies, and it could become a great group effort. Just a thought. JamesTJ
If you go back through the General Morrowind threads - the most recent 20 pages – there is approximately 1 thread per page asking for advice on the best mods to download. a few examples: What are some of the best Morrowind mods?the best modsGood Morrowind modsJust got Morrowind, And I have a few questions.Attempting Morrowind – AgainEssential Mods for GOTY EditionTop 100 for MorrowindNew to MorrowindBest plugins for MorrowindRe-playing Morrowind & Downloading ModsArmor And Weapons - what is the best type? I'm sure the moderators have good suggestions on the most popular mods for Morrowind. I made a few suggestions in the thread - the best modswhat are they? Maybe a "most popular mods for Morrowind" topic should be pinned?
AzirAphale001
Just got Morrowind, And I have a few questions. That was me...!I tend to do an advanced search sorted by downloads or rating.
buddah
Here is an excellent place to start: http://www.mwmythicmods.com/telesphoros.htm If you find something of interest and the link is broken, feel free to pm me and I see what I can do for you, I have a rather extensive archive and searching is second nature to me now. JamesTJ
Buddah, With respect, you misunderstood me. I have carefully selected, and downloaded some 400+ mods for Morrowind, played them, and created my 'permanent' mod list for Morrowind - which I now use to play the game. I left a few spaces for new, promising mods. You and I know where to find mods. I even gave suggestions and links in the General Morrowind thread: the best mods what are they? But looking through the last 20 pages of the General Morrowind thread - there is about one thread per page of people who don't know. If it is not possible to give Morrowind a "top 100 mods" separate from Oblivion, maybe a list of the best mods on Tesnexus and links to other sites like mwmythicmods, Elric Melnibone, Baratheon79, Emma’s Elder Scrolls, Stuff, yacoby (which I gave in the "the best mods" thread) and others, should be pinned at the top of the General Morrowind page, just under Pinned: Morrowind Online.is NOT possible. So stop asking. If it was at the top of that page it might cut down on the number of times the question gets asked. Respecfully yours, JamesTJ
buddah
That post and link was for the edification of the community in general who might not be aware of the site and it's potential. But was for my friend, myrmaad....who has just acquired the game. And AzirAphale001, who stated the same.
JamesTJ
Will you consider pinning a "best mods and links" list to the top of the General Morrowind page - or is that out of the question?
buddah
If you would care to create one, I would be more than happy to review it and pin it in the Morrowind plugins forum. But to create a new page on the Tesnexus site for Morrowind, would require some complex coding. Dark0ne is the only one that could accomplish that one so that decision would have to come from him. myrmaad
Thanks, Buddah, that site has been my mainstay while setting up my game. As far as top mods, I don't have enough experience to be definitive, but I'm guessing Better Bodies Morrowind Graphics Extender Morrowind Script ExtenderMorrowind EnhancedWrye MashMorrowind Visual Pack(s) I have MGE, MWSE and MWE all working together, except since I got Enhanced to play nice with mwScript Extender, I can no longer take Screenshots (which are still controlled by MGE, which is controlled by MwSE, which is launched by Enhanced. ) I have Fraps so I'm going to try living with that next time I play. I just thought I'd mention it, though. I re-painted my character's face, made it a higher resolution and glowmapped her eyes, just subtly.
