WARP Voice Actors needed.

Anyway down to business:

This is a Casting Call for a Fallout 3 mod referred to as WARP but we have not as of yet told people what that stands for.

WARP is a Total Conversion using Fallout 3 to create a Warhammer 40K Campaign in which the player works his way up the ranks of the Space Marine Chapter Black Templar.

Currently the Dialog is not yet decided on however as it is a Total Conversion we will need to make "Combat Quotes" for every single new faction and race we put into the game.

Because the Dialog has not yet been completed we are instead going to fist concentrate on the huge ammount of smale one line quotes that will be needed and because of the ammount we are opening this up to anyone who wishes to have a go.

These will include:

Black Templar - These be expected to have the highest quality and we would like to have as few actors as possible doing them. For this reason we have chosen to do them first as to have the longest overall time to receive applications and feed back.

Although they are expected to be of high quality ANYONE is free to have a go.

Orks - Orks are out middle ground, although most will not require the quality of Space Marine voices certain quotes will be specially requested for Voice Actors with more experience.

Imperial Guard - Yes these will be the ones for the new Voice Actors who are in it for the fun, most of the imperial guard combat quotes will just require people to use their native accent and put emotion into a quote.

However again as with the Orks some will be more difficult than others.

To try break up the work we are going to be doing this over a long period of time and the first one we thought we would throw to you guys would be none other than the Black Templar themselves.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FEMALE VOICE ACTORS

Sadly none of the "standard" combat quotes will be needing female voice actors as all the normal humans and orks will be male.

However there will be a fairly large female role within the story and the charicter willl need combat quotes and dialog.

There may alos be a few females worked into later factions (Begins with C and believe in big nasty deamon gods.) but this is only if we get any female voice actors with enthusiasm for the mod.

BLACK TEMPLAR

For those who do not know very much about the Black Templar I have included a few sources for inspiration and to get across the extreme believes and characteristics of the Black Templar

History

The Defense of Terra

At the Siege of Terra, many Champions of Chaos arose from the Traitor Space Marine ranks. During this time, the Primarch of the Imperial Fists, Rogal Dorn, chose Sigismund to fulfill the role of Emperor's Champion. Brother Sigismund was given the best armor and weapons, swearing a holy duty to seek out and destroy the foul champions of Chaos. He did so by challenging over two dozen of the enemy leaders to single combat and banishing them back into the Immaterium.

At the end of the Horus Heresy, each of the Space Marine Legions were broken down into organizations known as Chapters, each composed of one thousand men, as part of a plan to spread the power of the Imperial armed forces so that one man could not bring to bear the influence that Warmaster Horus had.

Rogal Dorn, as Primarch of the Legion responsible for the defence of the Emperor's homeworld, Terra, initially refused to have his Legion broken down. Dorn fought with Guilliman over the issue, calling the Ultramarines' Primarch a coward, and Guilliman accused Dorn of heresy. Leman Russ (Space Wolves) and Vulkan (Salamanders) joined with Dorn while Jaghatai Khan (White Scars) and Corax (Raven Guard) joined Guilliman on the issue. It was only after the attack on the Imperial Fist cruiser Terrible Angel by the Imperial Navy and the threat of renewed civil war between his Legion and the newly-formed Chapters that persuaded him to relent

The Second Founding

The Imperial Fists were split into four Chapters during the Second Founding. The younger warriors became the Crimson Fists, while Dorn's chosen warriors remained the Imperial Fists, and the orbital assault specialists formed the ranks of the infamous Soul Drinkers chapter.

The fourth Chapter was the Black Templars. Sigismund took with him the most zealous of the Imperial Fist brethren and those that shared his fervor took on the black and white panoply of Sigismund’s armor, then embarked on a crusade to prove their loyalty to the Emperor. Promoted to the rank of High Marshal, Sigismund swore an oath “to prove his loyalty, never resting in the prosecution of his duties against the enemies of the Emperor.” It is an oath that every succeeding High Marshal has renewed, resulting in the longest Space Marine crusade in the history of the Imperium. It has smashed through the stars for over 10,000 years and came to the fore during the Wars for Armageddon.

Neophytes

· ...the Black Templars have no home world, all of their recruiting is done via the Chapter Keeps...

· The Neophyte will accompany the battle brother into battle...

· The bond between the Initiate and pupil is strong, and if the Neophyte meets his end, the battle brother will swear a death oath to avenge the student, or die trying.

Initiates

· Once accepted into the Chapters fighting company, an initiate fights alongside the other Black Templar battle brothers, forging a name for himself within the chapter and perfecting his fighting abilities...

· ...he will eventually take on a Neophyte of his own...

· ...Initiates form the majority of the chapter...

· ...Black Templars' preference for fighting face-to-face

· ...have the tactical adaptability to deal with virtually any foe, instructing their Neophytes by bloody example.

Sword Brethren

· Equivalent to a standard Chapter’s First Company, the greatest warriors of a crusade are inducted into the Marshal’s household. Known as the Sword Brethren, they are no longer required to train Neophytes and they will receive additional training, particularly in the use of Tactical Dreadnought armor, or Terminator Armour...

· ...usually selecting close combat weapons, where all Black Templars excel.

· ...Like most Black Templars, Sword Brethren will fight with others out of familiarity rather than organised squads, and they will always be found in the thickest of the fighting. ...

· ...Sword Brethren often wear a cream colored cloak and have red trim on their black pauldrons to signify their status...

Black Templar Quotes:

KEY Notes:

All quotes should sound or (should have had an attempt at making them sound) as though they are being spoken through a Space Marine voice modulator.

An example of how the space marines voices should sound through the modulator is this.

(This is probably the hardest of them all, and will probably be easier for those who have understanding of sound editors such as Audacity.)

As you can see from the history of this Chapter (and it becomes even more apparent if you have read further of their background) the Black Templars are by far one of the most Zealous of the Astartes Codex and their loyalty and devotion is almost unquestionable. This should be carried into the Voice Acting as best as you can.

All the quotes under "To Chaos, To Ork or To NONE human." Should be recorded attempting to get across a tone of considerable disgust as Black Templars hold hatred for all that is not pure human (including psychers) and all that are unloyal.

If it has an Exclamation mark(!) then it should be Emphasised, I am not particularly looking for "shouting" as such just emphasis...

Those without such as the None Combat quotes should still be spoken with Emphasis but not to the same extent as the Combat Quotes.

These words should be spoken in a special way.

As in the third KEY Note all the race specific ones are to be spoken with disgust.

Dorn, Emperor and His (When referring to the Emperor.)

Are to be spoken with some sort of respect (as though they are not mentioning his name in vein.)... It is hard to portray the sound I am going for in words. I am sure most of you will understand what I mean.

Finally "No Pity! No Remorse! No Fear!" should be spoken with pride, it is the motto of the Black Templar and thus to speak it is to be proud of:

Who they are, what they fight for and what they shall die for.

For this line I will want a really good version but do not feel intimidated to attempt it.

To Chaos:

Burn the heretic.

Traitors!

Heretics!

Chaos approaches.

Death to the foul warriors of Chaos!

To Ork

Orks! Purge the beasts!

Greenskins!

Ork sighted.

Foul Greenskins approach!

To NONE human:

Kill the mutant.

Death to the alien.

Combat:

Purge the unclean!

With me, my brothers!

Fear our wrath!

Fear denies Faith!

Space Marines, attack!

For the Emperor!

Cleanse! Purge! KILL!

Our faith makes us strong!

The Emperor protects us!

For the glory of the Emperor!

For the honor of the chapter!

By my command, attack!

Space Marines, advance!

No Pity! No Remorse! No Fear!

Let His wrath fill our hearts!

Death, war, and blood!

Crush their hopes and their dreams!

Your honour is your life!

We conquer in His name!

Know no fear!

Kill them all

In the name of Dorn!

Grant us strength to piece their unclean flesh!

None Combat:

Stay vigilant, brothers.

Beware the alien, the mutant, the heretic.

Today the enemy shall know fear.

With me, my brothers

Follow me into battle.

Accept any challenge no matter the odds.

Delight in swords and fists red with alien blood.

Life is the emperors currency spend it well

Heresy grows from idleness

To question is to doubt

There is nothing to fear but failure

Submit to His will

Praise the Emperor.

We are united in His service.

Faith and duty.

We shall know no fear.

The Emperor protects.

My faith is my shield.

Know no fear.

No pity, no remorse, no fear.

Your honour is your life, let none dispute it.

In the name of Dorn.

Suffer not the unclean to live.

Uphold the honour of the Emperor.

This day shall be our day of reckoning.

Doubt is a sign of weakness.

Our faith makes us strong.

The Emperor protects us.

Remember

We are happy for ANYONE to have a go and we will credit anyone gives us permission to use their work.

If we do say no to your work it is not personal, we may give you feed back as to why the work was rejected however do not let this put you off applying!

If you are not accepted for Space Marines voice acting remember there is more opportunities to come such as the Ork and Imperial Guard Combat Quotes and then later on the Game Dialog.

Have Fun!
