Dan3345
OK guys, my computer is next to my ps3 and tv. I would like to be able to chat with my mates on skype and play ps3 at the same time. To do this I somehow need to be able to transfer the audio signal from the tv to my computer so it plays through my headset. This way, I can chat with my friends in skype, and hear my game at the same time. I have tried plugging a 3.5mm cord from the tv's headphone jack to the blue line in on my computer. That doesn't work, I also tried setting up the line in playback to come in tandem with the computer sound. Didn't work, this is all being attempted with the realtek sound manager on my gigabyte x87 ud4h motherboard. Anyone got any ideas on what I can do? I think I may need a dedicated sound card or a mixer/switcher. I don't know the first thing about this and any help will be appreciated.
samadchaz
the above method should work :ermm: upload a pic of realtek control panel window after you have selected the input as line-in
Dan3345
I noticed there are two audio ports on my tv. One is for headphones the other is a green audio port. Not sure which one to use. Im uploading some cropped photo's of what realtek manager looks like when I plug in the line in cord from the tv.
kalikka
Get 2xRCA--->3.5mm(stereo) adapter.Plug the ps3 RCA audio to line-in/mic jack of the PC using the above adapter.Open windows sound tab, recording devices, line-in/mic configurations.Check the box for "listen to this device"/whatever it is in english version. Trust me, you will never go back to TV-speakers. I'm running 500$ B3031A speakers with my ps3&xbox360. Edited October 10, 2013 by kalikka
