zcul
LuciusHepworth has received a formal warning. This user has now received 1 formal warnings. The warning was given for the following reason: Harassing and aggressively belittling other members and their content via the mod authors’ BUGS tabEntitled behaviour Posts (walls of text) 01 June 2022, 7:31AMExcerpt:I won't even go into the ridiculous requirementsAnd god knows what else you fcked up with your "framework" supposedly "fixing" stuffgo fudge yourselfeventually you might reach a point where your FIXES outshine your FAILURESwhenever you put yourself out there and start a project like this, you also shoulder a certain amount of responsibility for said projectEntire post I hate to say this, but what the title says is unfortunately true: NOBODY on this team seems to have playtested the changes brought by the Community Framework / Patch before deploying. Otherwise you would've surely realized that it's utterly broken and pretty much soft locks you 100% of the time. I won't even go into the ridiculous requirements of Scottina of answering the usual questions, because this SHOULDN'T EVEN BE a question to begin with, if they cared about what they were doing. Here's the bug(s), and YES they are 100% reproducible... just play the goddamn Citadel DLC for once: The cutscene with Joker (and Wrex, if he's alive) doesn't start after defeating your clone. I've already provided a temporary "solution" to that problem for another person, which basically undoes your changes from the community framework... so... if your framework BREAKS stuff, how about your prime objective should be FIXING WHAT YOU BROKE?! Thanks. When you want to initiate the Citadel DLC party... it doesn't matter whether you pick "Invite ALL guests" or if you invite everyone separately... what happens, with your mod installed, is that ONLY the core members will show up (i.e. Joker, EDI, Cortez, Liara, Traynor, James). Every. Single. Time. No matter other choices. So your mod breaks / prevents other party members from showing up. Proof: I disabled the community patch (and ONLY that patch), loaded the same save, and everyone was suddenly there. And god knows what else you fcked up with your "framework" supposedly "fixing" stuff, when actually it seems to break the whole game. I've read things like Urdnot Dagg's voice lines playing at the same time than Grunt's... guess what that's probably related to. Or something crashing after coming out of an elevator, where there's a character EXPECTED to be... huh. Was it Kasumi, after the Volus Ambassador quest? Wonder why that could be... oh wait I know - because NONE OF YOU PLAYTESTED IT and just assumed your changes would work. Before you wanna tell me "You didn't stick to the rules, bla bla bla" go fudge yourself. I dare to say: before YOU put out a "patch" like this, maybe.... just maybe.... make sure it doesn't break more things than it attempts to fix. And maybe PLAYTEST it before an official release. If you had done that, you'd surely have caught those mistakes. In any way... that being said, I pretty much believe that you are doing god's work - so, for what it's worth, keep at it, and eventually you might reach a point where your FIXES outshine your FAILURES. Ganbatte! 02 June 2022, 12:15AM ExcerptAnd you DO have to admit that all this rudeness would've been spared... if your mod had properly been playtested beforeOtherwise, remove yourself from the modding scene, since noone wants a stuck-up entitled prick messing with their files (even if half of what they did was beneficial).Entire post Well I do apologize for the rudeness - everyone has a "down day" every once in a while, even YOU I reckon. However you marked the bug report as "duplicate" which is just false, since I reported a bug with your mod (as point 2 on the list) which wasn't reported before. And you DO have to admit that all this rudeness would've been spared... if your mod had properly been playtested before. I dare to say, I consider it just as rude to put out a product that's as bugged as your framework, because it's pretty much s***ing all over the playerbase that were putting trust into you to begin with. True... you don't technically OWE anything to anyone. But at the same time, whenever you put yourself out there and start a project like this, you also shoulder a certain amount of responsibility for said project. Brushing it off like you are, isn't the way to go. Be more open to criticism and valid reports... or suffer the consequences. Otherwise, remove yourself from the modding scene, since noone wants a stuck-up entitled prick messing with their files (even if half of what they did was beneficial). /edit: even if you refuse to help *ME* ...you can't deny your mod is still bugged (precisely as I told you). So, sooner or later you're going to have to address those issues anyway. Might as well suck it up, swallow your pride and get to it, lest someone else opens a report mirroring mine.
