Relax mod, real backpacks and others

I'm wondering, there is one thing I always hated in Morrowind animation. Is that whenever your sword and shield was out, you were ALWAYS at ready position. like always about to fight.

 

Is there a mod out that that adds a kind of, relaxed animation? I mean like, with a two-hand sword, he has the sword on his shoulder, holding it. Then maybe like if someone has a sword and shield, he walks around with the sword pointing downwards, relaxing from his hand.

 

or with an axe ESPECIALLY, if its a two hand or one hand axe, he just holds it by the top of the shaft (y'know, between the blade/axe part and the shaft) and holds it down below his waist.

 

Now another question. Is there a mod out that that adds Javelins? I always liked Javelins from Diablo 2. But if there is one, I would like it so when you throw a javelin at someone, it doesnt just, disapear. it should stay in its inventory. or if it hits the ground you can pick it up, speaking of which, this leads me to my next question.

 

Picking up spent arrows and darts etc. Is there a mod that if you miss or hit that the bow automatically goes into the persons inventory or pops up on the ground? it doesnt necessarily have to be realistic and stick up out of the ground, just so it doesnt disapear.

 

In Morrowind, our hero has an invisible backpack apparently. Is there a mod that adds a LARGE backpack, I mean realistically large backpack to the game? But, it should also have it so you can take it off while fighting. Aswell, it should show the shield and sword or bow that you have put in the backpack, because realistically, you would fight the sword in the backpack, you would hook it on the backpack, unless its a short sword, then it goes in its sheath. Aswell, if the backpack could have like.. a mobile tent or bedroll so you can sleep in the wilderness in style (hey, maybe even a campfire!) then that would kick ass.

 

Is there a mod that adds in a pet like, Attack Dog? like you could train it to attack, catch other animals etc.? Aswell, is there a mod that adds in a rideable Guar? since the horse mod I downloaded doesnt seem to have anything in the damn .rar's!!!

 

Finally, my last question. is there a mod that adds in like, ONE-handed spears? like short spears that can be used in combination with a shield? I was surprised this wasnt added in game. Also, maybe a mod that adds in silt strider services to Caldera, Pelegiad, Ald Velothi, Urshilaku camp, Ahemmusa camp, and Ghostgate?

marksmanmod adds javelins, and increases the recovery rate of missiles from 25% to 80% (or something like that)

 

if it misses, it's gone. i don't think there's any mod that can change this.

 

i believe "morrowind comes alive" adds quivers and backpacks, but it also adds alot of travelling adventurers, merchants, and mercenaries too. although i'm sure there's a mod that just adds those to it.

 

there's also mods that add sheaths. but as for showing the proper items sticking out of the backpack, that's a little much. i've never seen anything that has done this.

 

sorefoot enterprises adds more siltstrider service, but i'm not sure if it adds as much as you're looking for (haven't tried it yet)

 

morrowind complete adds the ability to make campfires, among other things.

 

if you use any mod search engine (here at the source or at the morrowind summit) i'm sure you could find a mod that adds bedrolls. i think there's one that adds a portable tent too. (if i'm not mistaken, it acts as a portable transporter to a small house, where you can store all your stuff).

Ukraineboy I gave you a list of popular websites for downloads. Most have some form of search engine. Now I can answer some of your questions as to what is available but I'm afraid the only way I could find out where is to do that search myself. I will leave that to you.

 

One thing you need to be aware of is that there are only a certain number of slots available for items being worn so IIRC cloaks are used instead of shirts etc. Some of the refinements you seek are available but cannot be used together.

 

There are several fletching mods available that have quivers and the ability to retrieve arrows. There is at least one mod that adds backpacks. I doubt if you can wear both but I don't know.

 

There is also a mod that makes it so that you do not have to fire a loaded arrow.

 

Javelins are available and many other weapon types (Javelins by Larry and Daedric Javelins by Michael Peerboom are both on the Summit) . I have not seen any reference to short spears - do such things exist? There are however japanese weapon mods where I don't know all the names in English so they may have something. There are also several mods with throwing weapons.

 

I have read about a mod being designed for swords being worn on the back - I don't know if it was ever completed. But again it would probably prevent other things like a backpack being worn in the same place.

 

There are several companion mods with animals (try TheLys web for those) and the animals will attack whatever attacks you. I have not heard of a satisfactory rideable guar mod. There is an old thread on this IIRC on these forums.

 

I had no probs downloading the Pegas Horse ranch. I could email it to you -probably. Alternatively contact MadMax directly.

 

Finally there are lots of Mods available that enable you to travel to Ashlander camps etc quickly. The Ashlander Traders Mod does this by having joinable 'caravans' - not that you see 'em. VTA travel is more comprehensive and very useful if you have companions.

 

Now all you have to do is find them!
