How to prevent a "backup" folder appearing when opening the CK and editing a mod?

It seems Bethesda's desire to hand hold extends even beyond the game itself.... I don't need the game to make me a backup folder whenever I tinker with a mod in the CK.... is there a way to prevent this automatic backup, an ini entry or something?
