MajorGunn
I know I posted a really bad post on this in the suggestions section, but I decided my storyline is too good to hold back from giving more info on it and I have to make it up to anyone whose time was wasted(my apologies). So bear with me a little bit. I am really hesitant to share much and I would like to know whether or not there are a few out there willing to help or give suggestions.I have just started this project. Notice: I CAME UP WITH EVERYTHING(except one location I may not include) ON MY OWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really don't care if someone came up with the same stuff. Hey great minds think a like. Background: The story runs parallel to the main storyline and I will do some stuff accordingly. Mission 1: Welcome to East DCYou're a refugee. You've been traveling the harsh east coast wastes from god knows where to the safety of the Brotherhood of Steel sanctuary in East DC set up by Elder Lyons. The entire area is supposedly secured. A mailman comes up and talks to you, he welcomes you to the safety of East DC, you mention that your younger sister or brother was killed by raiders. He tells you if you need a job Bellevue is the place and the Wasteland Postal is the name. As soon as the conversation is over he will drop dead due to a raider attack coming from one of the office buildings.(this is the reason the mail stops getting around west dc) The BoS escorts will scramble. Everyone will be screaming, get into the subway! First though you have to take from him his mailbag and outfit.(hence postman) He pointed out Bellevue on your pipboy map so it is time to go check it out. It will be a very small subway, and you will emerge out of the DC ruins to find yourself just outside the congressional cemetery which is huge so there will be tons of gravestones right infront of you. After trekking through the wastes and not having much problem with animals you will see it. The settlement at Bellevue. A roadsign of the original town(it is actually there in real life) and a "city" surrounding a radiostation on a hill. Enter, and be confronted by a group of BoS troops then proceed to the location they give you of the Head of Post. He welcomes you once again and says he is sad to hear one of his best is dead. He tells you being part of the WP is not easy. You say something like how hard can it be? Well with how many things are out there that just want to kill you, you have to deal with all of them as your job, alone. So after he notices your pipboy and makes sure you're literate(raiders are for the most part illiterate(schools teach you that and there are none!)!) he sends you off to meet his daughter who runs the in town tavern, Belle's Jugs for the lowdown on the Post, outfitting, and your first assignment. Coming next time on Fallout: Post-Man; Mission 2: Meet Belle. This is an 18 quest storyline, so tell me what you think, bad stuff is alright. It is too big for one post.I've told this to probably about 100 people now in my daily life and every single one was impressed which is actually a very simple expression to read. Not to mention they were all like holy sh*& and da%$ and omg you came up with that.THERE ARE SOME AWESOME TWISTS if we get that far. One of which is at the end of M18 and I have not told anyone yet. NaboeN
1. Try to stay away from originally included character, these are the reasons:Voice: This means to get it done good, you would need a voice actor that sounds alot like, getting a voice actor at all is hard enough.Story importence:Lyons is included throughout the whole mainquest, having him killed due to a story in a mod would interfere with main quest and maybe the upcoming DLC's 2. The BoS doesn't let civilians inside the Citadel, how can then a refugee at the moment of arrival get a backstagepass? 3. U S E P A R A G R A P H S W H E N W R I T I N G Nice story for being a first part out of 18, could do some minor work here and there with bit more air so the text is easier to read. Not trying to be mean, but shovelfeeding is a working tactic
MajorGunn
thanks for the feedback first of all.Second there are no storyline problems or conflictions with the original main quests.(ive checked it over pretty well, but maybe down the road there could be a minor mistake. hopefully nothing major. I played the original game for something like 300 hours before I learned of the GECKs existence and put together my alternate storyline.) 1) the dude killed was part of the WP faction. Just a lowly mailman for the wasteland. This is east dc not west dc. There is a fork in the river going upstream and the one in the current game(west dc) is the left. East Dc would be the eastward tributary or if looking at a map; the right side. I was thinking a lot about problems with voice and I have decided that if added it will be an after the fact update to a text box game. The storyline and the gameplay with it are the real bonuses. 2) as stated above this is east dc, so the opposite side of the city from the citadel. The capitol wasteland is in chaos, but the slavers, super mutants and creatures of the wastes are held in check for the most part by Lyons' faction on the east riverbank. The people of the east side are the people he stayed and pledged to protect. the reason the outcasts broke off. 3) thanks again. I'll work on using paragraphs. I didn't think of it at all. Yes 1 of 18. I'll write a description of 2-4 next they are all pretty straightforward. There is one new major faction that you joined known as Wasteland Postal. You become the messenger boy and you're only enemies are raiders. I will add in a raider city for sure, but I was thinking of just making it all smilingjack so you can actually trade.
