devinpatterson
First of all, an ox can pull 3 times their own weight (Large oxen can pull up to 10000 pounds!) , so a "vanilla game sized" caravan doesn't seems too crazy for an ox load for me. I have a passing familiarity with draft animals having worked on a family farm most summers of my childhood. Oxen are great for hauling heavier loads further, better than horses (although slower). The average weight of an ox is around 1500lbs. A motorohome is 10,000, 15,000 or more. That kind of weight is pulled in teams. In addition pulling a motorhome through sand isn't going to be easy. We have a variety of lighter carts, wagons, flatbed trailers and vehicles that will work well with the method I use and would fall into a weight category for one brahmin. So I believe teh best course of action would be to use those and skip very large vehicles like motorhomes. If I find a way to somehow synchronize a team, I'll consider a motorhome, a brahmin pulled locomotive etc.
