Autumn Leaves grammar correction

Hi.

I've never made a mod before, I have no idea how the GECK works, blah blah blah.

Autumn Leaves (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50146/) is one of the finest mods ever made, the story being fantastic, the voice acting superb, and I really don't have many negative things to say about it.

Except the GRAMMAR! By god, how can you make a mod so well-written but simultaneously poorly written? The spoken dialogue by NPCs often doesn't match up with the text (probably 50% of the time), because the actors likely read it and were like "wtf this makes no sense let me correct it on the fly".

So many little things......

Spaces are included before colons! "There was one method he was very proficient with : impersonation". No! It should be "proficient with: impersonation."

Needless capital letters ... "At first I thought that... Never mind." should be "... never mind." (this is contextual, sometimes you would use a capital letter, but in this case it implies a pause in the same sentence, so the lower case would continue)

And so much more... spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, missing punctuation. I would include more, but I don't want to replay the mod right now and go through all the dialogue. But trust me, there are a lot of mistakes.

For a mod that is so FANTASTIC, this really irked me.

So does anyone know how I would go about fixing the dialogue boxes for this mod? Thank you. I am so infuriated that I am willing to set hours of my life aside to fix this.

Dialogue is probably one of the most straightforward aspects of the geck. It would actually be a pretty simple process. Once you have your GECK ready to go, open up the mod you wish to edit (there are a ton of youtube tutorials on geck setup and overall basics).

Once you get the mod opened up and ready to edit, your dialogue is controlled by Quests. Most mod authors make their additions rather easy to find, but the easiest way to find this would be to sort by Form ID. The mods content will usually start with 0A rather than other larger numbers, so you can find everything related to that particular mod all in one place. This will make it easy to find, no matter how the mod author "named" their IDs.

Find the Quest that applies to the dialogue you wish to alter. This could be a single Quest, or quite a few, depending on the mod. Then go to the Topics tab to see the dialogue lines all listed out for you. A simple double click and you can alter the text of that dialogue line (although the GECK has several unfortunate limitations, so be warned there).

If you run into any speed bumps along the way, feel free to PM me and I can try to point you in the right direction.
