Using a different body from NPC default, simultaneously?

I had better clarify that truncated topic. I've been poring over my options when it comes to body replacements. So far, I have narrowed things down to these two:

Type 3F: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45445//?

Type 6M: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45162/?

They are the best of the best. What I would really like to accomplish goes like this: Use the Type 3F model and available armors as my avatar, and use the Type 6M model as female NPCs.

Now, I do understand that this is technically possible. I have seen mods that add "races" which serve as completely separate models from the game-default female (or male, I guess) model. What I may take a stab at is installing a random "race" and then replacing its resources with the Type 3F data (assuming this can even be done, ie it's not all in fomod format or whatever). If it proves as simple as that, great. But I have a feeling... not so much. ;p And that's why I figured I would ask.

Or, how about an "unified" body mod the combine both Type 3, 6, N and body by race for body and an unified face (makoto, Mojave beauty and Lings) just like the unified HUD mod?

Most "vanilla" clothes do have a conversion mod for each of those body anyway. So what player need to do is that, choose the type of body they want for PC and the named NPC via MCM, the rest of radom NPC will use random body mash & texture, and the vanilla clothes for that body?

Little disclaimer, I don't use body replacers, but I would think that's just a question of swapping out the meshes right? I mean there are some caveats, but essentially your simply changing the meshes for female characters, so the concept is pretty simple. The caveats would be that for any female outfit that you don't have a type 6 counterpart for, you would end up with the default/vanilla body on your female npc. So if you just throw all those type 6 armor/outfits in your meshes folder (and they have the same name as the default clothes/armor) the game will use them.

Since you want your player to use a specific body type that no one else has, you will have to use a custom race. That will allow only your player model to have a type 3F, without affecting any other actor. Also there are some caveats about custom races too. If your switching over your player to a custom race, I think it resets everything (skills, perks etc). I'm not sure, but I recall something along those lines. So you might have a bit of work putting your character back together. You also have the same caveat as above. Any model (outfit/armor) that you don't have a type 3F variation for, is going to show the vanilla body type.

So yeah, I think that's essentially all there is to it. Is there plenty of models (outfits/armor) for type 3F & 6M? If there's not, your going to see a lot of vanilla body types popping out.
