paulski Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 Hey guys, Hope everyone had a good Easter. Just having a weird issue and I'm not sure what is the problem. Im using a couple lvlants, and have set up patrol areas for them. The problem I am having is that when I actually get into the level, they all seem to have moved into a little alcove in part of the cave, rather than being part of the level design. My navmesh, xmarkers etc are all set up correctly. Was just wondering if perhaps there is something else I am not doing right? Thanks guys Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
anarion9 Posted April 15, 2009 Share Posted April 15, 2009 I have had that happen a fair amount mostly when I have the navmesh split up into strange sections or a small patch is separate from the others. Turn off all other stuff and just free-rotate the navmesh around to see if its clean. The other thing that I have seen cause this is not finailizing the navmesh and not finalizing adjacents navmeshes. If you use the drop down to finalize your navmesh, it will do adjacent cells as well. Hope this works. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
paulski Posted April 15, 2009 Author Share Posted April 15, 2009 Hey mate, Thank you for your reply, I will try that out as soon as I get back to my PC, having a few days away from it, just finished a coursework for uni and I want my eyes to start seeing clearly again lol! For the time being I used ambush style enemies, worked for a simple video I wanted to create, but I haven't tried to use the drop down for finalising the navmesh, I will try and report back how it went!
