NekoMaster
So I managed to finally get a few guns working in GECK, and spawned them on me. But now i have a problem where GECK wont let me add new sounds. I goto the category to add a new sound and when I click on "add sound file" or something like that nothing pops up, nothing happens, I might as well have not clicked on it. My sound files are located in the Sound folder, so I don't know why its not letting me do anything If I want to continue modding I need to be able to add new sounds
pkleiss
Hmm, that is interesting. When you are looking at a sound object in the GECK, whether new or existing, and click on the Add Sound File (or file path & name for existing sounds) button, you should get a windows pop up browser showing your sound folder and its sub folders. If you aren't getting that pop up window as you should, that is indeed a problem. I have only five ideas... 1) Have you patched the GECK to version 1.5 after downloading and installing it?2) Have you tried running the GECK as administrator?3) Is your GECK installed in your \Fallout3 folder? Does that folder have a \Data\Sound folder - another words, are you sure your folder structure is setup properly?4) Maybe try deleting your GECKCustom.ini and GECKPrefs.ini and restarting the GECK to generate new ini files???5) Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the GECK from scratch??? Other than that, based on the info you've given, I don't know what else to try.
NekoMaster
Ok that fixed it with a patch. I didn't know that GECK had a patch :s I normally don't mod, and now I dunno if I will since i found 20th century weapons reborn (with some other things). I think the only guns I'll need to add now are the IMI Galil, FAMAS, G11, and I wish I could find a Denel NTW-20 mod
