conj01ner
I recently got the mods OOO 1.3 and it's 1.31 patch, along with MMM and the MMM for OOO version esp, to see what these highly recommended mods are like. Loading them together the game doesn't even start. Using only Obscuro's Overhaul, I see many purple items and invisible guards and the like, which I know to be missing textures or something, but I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly... just dragged everything into the Oblivion data folder, merging the Sounds, Meshes, and Textures files. A conflict detector says it pretty much conflicts with most of my mods, even the Knights.esp, which I thought was strange. I'm playing the GOTY edition on my computer.I would be eternally grateful if someone could shed some light on this frustrating problem... If this helps, here is a list of my active mods (not including MMM because the game won't even start with it active). Maigrets
Did you download the 400+MB OOO main file with all the resources in it.? If not, this is why you have missing content. It comes as an OMOD or EXE file. When you say you dragged and dropped I'm assuming you didn't. You don't have the OOO esm that the esp relies on which is why the game won't start. It's missing the OOO Master File. This thread at the Bethsoft forums details all the files you must have. OOO also has been updated since 1.33 and 1.31. http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=971976 It also has install and load order guidlines. When you add MMM also make sure you have the big resource main files as well. Approx 300mb.The current release thread is here:http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=966054 When you have it installed correctly don't worry so much about conflicts. If your load order is correct anything that shows as a conflict really only means there have been changes to certain records.
BossDweebe
Yes the conflict detector is strange, but mostly what it is showingwhat the two mods are changing. While two mods may change apart of something as long as they don't change the exact same thingthen there is no conflict.OBMM has a help guide that explains this fully. You main problem - don't know....Do you have the Oblivion 1.2.. patch installed ?I think Knights should maybe come after SI. Aside from that I would go for removing MMM and OOO and see how things go.Then reinstall them one at a time. I think OOO first then MMM. Is the MMM for OOOa patch or special version ? If it is a patch O.K. If it is a different version then don't install the original MMM.
Maigrets
MMM for OOO is a required esp for use when using both those mods together for compatibility. It needs the Master files that are missing from the load order.
conj01ner
Thank you guys, very much. For some reason my original download from PlanetElderScrolls did not have the esm, nor was it up to date. I didn't even question the master file... Everything seems ok now, including MMM.
