tentibias
I stopped playing Subnautica around a year ago and decided to pick it back up recently. I had been using mods that I manually installed with the QMod manager. I had decent success using Vortex to mod Skyrim, so when I realised I could use Vortex for Subnautica, the possibility of not having to manually update everything was exciting. After I gave Vortex permission to manage my Subnautica mods, both those I already have and some new ones I downloaded, mods stopped working altogether. The QMod folder is still in place, but launching the game alone no longer loads mods and Vortex did not launch with mods. I have checked everything. All the mods were installed, enabled, and deployed. I followed issues on the forum that others seemed to experience and their solutions did not work for me. I uninstalled Subnautica and reinstalled it. I manually deleted QMod and recreated the original process used to manually mod the game and it no longer works, even though I told Vortex to stop managing Subnautica (twice). The mods simply are not loading at all now and I don't know what to do. I'm not an expert on any of this so anything you can give me would be terrific. Thanks. WastedDeadSoul
Did you do a clean install? If not, you probably need to do that. A clean install is when you delete absolutely everything related to the game, and then reinstalling. This video will explain far better then I can here. Yes it's for Fallout, but the steps are the same. Afterword, setup Subnautica in Vortx like normal. Download/install your mods, including Qmod through Vortex. Hope it works for you. https://youtu.be/SzT_64LF_Dg Edited June 27, 2022 by WastedDeadSoul
