"Hunting bow involved in undressing follower?"

I know the great "Hunting Bow Bug" is 10 years old. I was just hoping by this time there was a patch or a fix for it. Using console commands (removeitem 10E2DD, GetItemCount >>> 0.00) does not work. I have "Redressed.esp that I made to clear my followers inventory and tweak a few points.

I have played around extensively in CK, changing and deleting things with no luck.

So, is there a fix for this? Thanks

As you said, this bug is notorious - and has been around for a long, long time.

 

AFAIK, the bug only occurs with certain follower management mods, e.g. AFT and immersiveAFT. Not sure, if this is also a Vanilla thing.

 

I've been using Nether's Follower Framework in connection with "Dress up lovers" (to quickly change my followers' gear) for about two years now, and didn't encounter a single unwanted hunting bow yet.

@Algabar ATM I'm not using any follower mods so, yup it's vanilla. I've never tried Nether's or "Dress up Lovers" but due to your recommendation I will certainly give them a try. So, Thank you for that. Sincerely appreciate the reply.
