zerroah
Hello, I recently came across a copy of a Tardis mod made by someone called Dwilliss.I have tried contacting him via the email address he used at the time he originally uploaded the mod.Sadly though his website that apparently once hosted his mod no longer exists as I had to dig around the internet to find a copy of the files.his email address at the time was [email protected], if someone could possibly try to find him on the internet and ask him if he minds his mod being handed over to new people that would be much appreciated.I have not and will not upload it unless I somehow get the original author's permission. The original title of the mod was Un TARDIS en Vvardenfell, if that helps for looking for information on it.If it turns out it is a dead project and the author can not be contacted can you let me know if it would go against the nexus rules to upload it anyway? Please get back to me when possible, and if you could contact me at my email address ([email protected]) it would be much preferred.thank you very much for your time. Tchos
In my understanding, it is against the rules to upload a mod without the author's permission, period. Inability to contact the author is irrelevant, as is also the status of the mod. However, if the author has provided permission somewhere (such as in a readme file, or a forum post) stating that others can redistribute the mod, then you don't have to ask again. thestormdragon
I just ran accross this same TARDIS mod by Dwilliss today. I noticed the original mod by Dwilliss was in English and called Morrowind TARDIS mod by the readme dated 10-8-2002. The mod Un TARDIS en Vvardenfall is a later copy from 9-13-2011 of the earlier mod above by Dwilliss posted by someone else on another site other than the original mod side listed in the readme. The domain for the orginal mod site is no longer available. I do not know if the email listed in the readme is still valid either I haven't tried it. I found another copy called simply TARDIS at modhistory.com by Dwilliss. If it is not possible to upload to the Nexus I would try the above web site for a copy. Just put TARDIS in the search box it comes up as TARDIS v1.0 and was uploaded in 2009 to that site by an anonomous user of that site (not the author). The readme is in English and by the look of the files - set up for manual installation only to the Morrowind Data Files folder. From what I read there is a problem with Morrowind crashing when this mod is installed with a new game of Morrowind. I do not know about a pre existing game from before the mod was installed. Either way I would do a clean save before running the mod and if using in a new game I would start the new game, do a clean save then launch the mod. It might avoid the CTD problem. Hope this helps anyone else who is looking for a working TARDIS mod for Morrowind. Also there is a partial TARDIS mod uploaded by murfy27 with the textures and meshes. I am not experienced with scripting for Morrowind, but if someone with some scripting experience for Morrowind were to use the resources uploaded by murfy27 and with the permission of the author of the Kuul Dock home (the one with the return home ring and teleporting bottles) maybe the scripts used in that mod could be studied and applied somehow to a TARDIS mod using murfy27s TARDIS resources and a working TARDIS mod could be made for Morrowind. I only know how to put simple objects into Morrowind and mabey could put murfy27s TARDIS into Morrowind without the need for the console, but I could not do the scripting to have it teleport from place to place in Morrowind like in the Oblivion and Skyrim TARDIS mods. Also I have never tried to upload a mod and am only a beginner - retextures, attribute changes, and simple in game placement. If someone would take on this project who has better modding experience than me and mabey add a doctor race too? I have done this for Oblivion using both my own mod and the resources of other mods, but have not tried it for Morrowind yet.

thestormdragon
Sorry this is late but my computer took a recent dive. I found when I went to run the French version of Dwilliss's mod there was a problem with the esp and the mod didn't run. I also had TR east and was using MGE and some other mods, but I don't think the problem was a mod conflict. I replaced the esp in the French version of Dwilliss's Tardis mod with the English version found on modhistory.com - see my post above - and the mod ran fine. Zerroah you might want to consider adding the English Dwilliss Tardis 1.0 esp from the modhistory.com tardis download in your uploaded mod or I can upload it if someone tells me how to upload to the Nexus. I haven't uploaded a mod before.
