Getting shotguns to fire scattered shots.

I'm trying to add shotguns to fallout 3, things like the Saiga 12, SPAS-12, and the AA-12. Now I got everything working aside from how they shoot. Instead of a scattered shot, they fire a single shot like a rifle (only with shotgun spread making it a terrible rifle). I tried doing what they did for the other shotguns in fallout 3 but nothing seems to work.

Last resort is to wipe out the shotguns I've made and just make new ones based on edits of fallouts default shotguns (edit form and make a new weapon)

Anyone have any idea how to get my shotguns to scatter?

Did you test with a clean save?

Have you checked that every entry is exactly the same as vanilla shotguns?

It's probably not anything to do with animation .nifs, but just in case have you checked if any of these are different to vanilla?

I usually "create" new items by editing a vanilla item that closest matches what I want to happen, and then rename it. This helps avoid problems like this. If you already have the meshes and textures for the shotguns, it should be fairly simple just to apply them and edit some stats to get the shotgun you desire.

NekoMaster - Hello!

"Instead of a scattered shot, they fire a single shot like a rifle"

Did you set the #Projectiles to more than 1?

#Projectiles is listed in the Game Data tab of your weapon & needs to be set higher than 1 for multi shot weapons like shotguns.

Vanilla combat shotguns are set to 9 for example.

Hope this helps!

Oh.... I totally forgot about that setting... I'l have to remember that next time I make a shotgun.

Though what if I wanted to make a Frag-12 version of the AA12 (thus it would have mini-grenade shots), what would I need to do to make it fire a single small explosive with an explosion much much smaller then the grenade explosion
