ventexor
Hi folks, I'm looking for some information about a certain type of mod. First of all, I'm something of a noob regarding Oblivion. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here. I did a bit of research, and as far as I can tell, items lying out in the open (weapons on the counter in a smith's shop, for instance) do not respawn when taken. My issue is that I play a thief character and it becomes rather bothersome when I walk into a store I cleaned out a few weeks ago and it's still bare as a bone. It's a little bit disappointing, because I find that stealing items that are "out in the open" so to speak is more fun than stealing items from the loot window of a chest. Don't get me wrong, I love the rewarding experience of cursing my memory when I forget to stock up on picks and then manage to open a very hard lock with only one pick. Still, I think many will agree that stealing that diamond that you've been actually seeing in the display case for a month is pretty awesome as well. So, I looked around for a while and, thus far, I haven't been able to locate any mods that make the placed items in a room respawn along with containers and everything else. This confuses me, as I thought that such a mod would've been made long ago, if possible. This led me to the following conclusions: 1) I am incorrect. Placed items DO respawn and I'm just a silly noob.2) Such a mod exists. I just haven't looked hard enough.3) Such a mod is not possible for whatever reason.4) Such a mod is possible, but hasn't been made. Someone should make it or, in the absence of willing and skilled modders, someone should tell ME how to make it. So guys, which is it? Any and all help is much appreciated.
