how do you make notes

i am working on my first mod but i want to make notes and computers with data but i cant find something on the official site of the geck plz help me give me links or tell me how :thanks:

Yes, I would also like to know how to make notes and terminals with information. It would be of great help to let me explain the "lore" behind my mods

In the object window, under Items > Notes

 

Either just add a new one, or edit an existing one and change what you need to, and give it a new editor ID.

 

Not quite sure on the computers though, sorry.

 

Edit: Alright, after looking through everything, I beleive you can make a terminal that displays a note.

 

So i beleive it would go something like this:

 

Edit a note (Item > Notes, as I said earlier) then change everything to your liking, but be sure to give it a new editor ID (that you can remember), so when you hit ok, it will ask you you want to create a new form, click yes. Then create/edit (I suggest editing one to see how it works) a terminal (World Objects > Static > Terminal), make a new menu item, and set "Display Note" to the note you just created (pretty sure it lists the editor ID's, not names)

 

But of course, you don't need a terminal to display a note, if that's not what you want. Just create some menu items with actual result text instead of displaying a note.

 

Hope I got that right, I just woke up, so I may have no idea what I'm talking about...
